Anthony DiNozzo's speech:
Thank you director Vance. I would first like to take a moment to say that I am not, in fact, Leroy Jethro Gibbs. My name is Special Agent Anthony DiNozzo and Special Agent Gibbs has designated me, as his Senior Field Agent, to accept this award on his behalf.
Part of what makes Special Agent Gibbs a meritorious person, worthy of receiving an award such as this, is his immense modesty. That being said, it does kind of suck that he never shows up for award ceremonies, but that's just who Leroy Jethro Gibbs is, and all of us that know and love him have learned to accept this.
While it's clear that Gibbs himself could care less about the award, let me just say that his team, which, for those of you who don't know, consists of myself and special agents Timothy McGee and Ziva David, is eternally grateful. It's true. Leroy Jethro Gibbs is a mentor and a father figure to all three of us as well as a great friend, so on behalf of myself and the rest of my team, but not on behalf of Agent Gibbs, let me say once more, Thank You director Vance.
