Chapter One: Elaine Sparrow
Fragments of a lost diary
Her name was either Rose or Elaine, Rose was the pretty daughter of a rich merchant and Elaine the swashbuckling pirate. Not a nice change really. It was only later I found out that she was Sparrow's daughter.
Most of her enemies underestimated her because of her age or were simply amazed by her beauty. But in fact she was very skilled in sword fighting. You would be amazed by the number of weapons she wore on her body while fighting, the weapons just kept coming: a sword, knife and pistol strapped to her belt. Two more knives hidden under her sleeve and one in her left boot. And after I managed to get rid of those there was still the two-bladed knife in her other boot, her favourite, apparently. But before she could even use the weapon on me I was hit from behind and everything went black.
I already mentioned her beauty before, everything about her is perfect. She has long brown hair and, although she must have been working on that ship for over a year, it's still untouched by the sun or the salt of the sea. Her skin is a little tanned, giving her a healthy colour. But the most beautiful thing about her, are her eyes. So blue you can't miss them, a colour different from any other. I was lucky she was looking down the moment I attacked her, or she would have killed me before I could even try to hit her.
Then her personality, although she looks so sweet and innocent, she's really pure evil. She's not scared to kill and she feels no guilt. At first I thought it was just an act, that she had to be like that to survive on a ship. But no, that wasn't the case. If I had only seen that before…
