A/N: Yet another non-kink kink meme request. This one was a request for the reactions of a follower to the Courier, you know, eating people. Since they don't react in-game to it. Seemed like fun. Also, as a side note, I'm using the same Courier as in Devil Incarnate, though with a different follower. This one is a lot shorter than usual, though. Anyway, enjoy.
Boone just stared.
Not much threw him off on the battlefield. And slaughtering a group of legionnaires was just everyday stuff by now. Five, ten, fifteen or more. However many, it was just business as usual.
What was throwing him off was his companion. Who was standing there, holding the arm of one of the legionnaires and chewing on it like it was a hunk of brahmin steak.
Boone was a man of few words. And this occasion was no exception.
"...What the hell?"
What else was he supposed to say in that situation?
The Courier raised an eyebrow, lowering the chewed up arm slightly. "What?"
"What the hell are you doing?"
"What? Ohhhh. Okay, okay, so I probably should have cooked this first. But I figured we were in a hurry, and I'm running out of flamer fuel for Eloisa." She nodded at her flamer, before taking another bite of arm. "I'll be done in a few minutes, don't worry. I know you don't care about anything but killing legionnaires, but a girl's gotta eat, you know?"
"That's... not the point," Boone said quietly. He felt a slight pang of nausea as she snapped one of the fingers in an awkward direction so she could chew on the meat surrounding it easier.
"...Oh, are you annoyed because I'm not sharing? There's, like, fifteen bodies here. Go nuts."
"...What? No, that's disgusting."
"Is it? ...Right. You have that whole thing against the Legion. Mortimer was like that, too." She put on a posh voice. "'Now, you can't just go eating any old savage that walks by. We have gourmet taste, we eat only those who are up to that standard.'" She wrinkled her nose. "Posh bastard. Okay, so the Legion boys are a bit stringy... all that muscle, you know, they really don't compare to the kinds of people you find on the Strip. And I guess eating your arch enemies would be a little weird. I mean, okay, I did take a few bites out of Benny, but like I said... Strip meat is the best."
"No, I—" Boone paused for a few moments. "...Never mind."
"Cool." The Courier threw what was left of the arm over her shoulder and wiped the blood from her mouth. "I think there's another legion camp over there. Can we stop for the night after that? Then I can get a proper fire going."
Boone watched her stride off towards the next legion camp, before shrugging and following her. He'd met stranger people. As long as she was mostly eating legionnaires, he really didn't care that much.
But he was going to be keeping a good distance from her during meal times.
