A/N: I hope you like it!

Will You Dance With Me?

Furious thought danced across her brain. She would rather be in a thousand different place doing a different things.

But, nope! Here she was hanging on the Alec's arm like her life depended on it. His giddy little bride to be. And he was enjoying it too.

She would kill them both! They deserved it. Of course, Logan had to come up with some 'Eyes Only Save The World Mission'! Of course, Alec had to be oh so available.

Damn virus. If it wasn't for it, she would be hanging off Logan's arm right now.

She slumped in a chair. Her posture slouched and her arms folded.

"Come on Maxie! Don't be like that." Alec grinned.

"Don't call me Maxie." She growled through gritted teeth. Trying with all her might to smile. She really was having a bad day.

Ignoring her he said, "Remember your supposed to be my fiancée. You love me!"

"Sure, I'd love to kick your ass." She said sweetly batting her eyelashes. Giving him an adorable sickly-sweet smile. They were so going to get it.

"Come on Max. You don't' mean that." He pouted.

"Oh, but I do."

"Him guys. I hope you enjoying yourselves." Logan. Her eyes narrowed dangerously. He was so going to pay.

Reading the evil glint in her eyes. He turned and saw a couple on the far side of the hall. Said nervously, "Sorry guys, got to run." And dashed away faster then a kid on candy.

"Guy's smart. Knows when to beat it." Alec commented approvingly.

Fuming Max glared at him. If glares could kill, he would be nothing more then a smudge on the floor.

He edged away.

"In your dreams, Pretty Boy." She pointed to a chair beside her. "Sit down. And stay down. Or you'll never know what hit you."

He believed her. So, he sat down. Any faster and he would have been a blur.

Her lips quirked. Almost smiling. Alec grinned seeing her lip movement.

"Watch it. Pretty Boy." Alec grin died and he pulled a neutral expression.

Max watched as people danced. She tried to keep her anger in check. She couldn't figure out why she was getting so worked up. Maybe it had to do with her frustration with her current situation. Pretending to be Alec's boyfriend and all. It could be really draining.

She hadn't noticed he'd moved until he leaned down ever so slightly his mouth caressing her hair.

He whispered. "Dance with me?"

She nodded almost standing in a haze. Her feet walked without her consent as he led her to the dance floor. Her anger slipping away faster then she could breathe.

Her heart beat faster as he pulled her close. She relaxed as she melted into him. Wait! What was she doing? She was crazy! Insane!

She smiled as he clumsily stumbled slightly. Trying to figure out the moves of the dance. It was kind of sweet.

She rested her head on his shoulder as he found the beat of the song. He was so warm and his scent surrounded her. Giving her a sense of belonging. One that seamed forever since she had felt it.

She closed her eyes and let the feeling envelop her. She was happier than she was in long time.

Dancing with him. It felt right.
