Tonight was the Rosewood Masquerade Ball and everyone in town was going, except one. Hanna asked Caleb to go with her, but he was going to be in California with his mother the whole week. He had been in Montecito for about five days, when he couldn't take it anymore because the whole time he couldn't stop thinking of how he let her down, so he decided to surprise her at the dance.

Hanna considered skipping the Masquerade Ball, but her friends convinced her to go, except as soon as they got there, they bailed on her for their dates. She made her way over to the drink table and got a cup of punch, which she slowly drank as she looked at all the couples around her, dancing and having fun, making her only miss her boyfriend even more.

When he arrived at the ball, he looked around the room for any sign of his girlfriend, when his gaze finally landed on her by the punch bowl. He carefully made his way over to her, before pushing her hair aside and kissing her neck, gently. "I know who you are." He whispered in between kisses.

Hanna was bored and ready to head home when a pair of lips kissed her neck, softly. She was about to push the person away, when she recognized the voice and the lips against her neck. "Caleb?!" She exclaimed as she turned to face him with a smile on her face.

He smiled when she turned around, taking in her complete Juliet costume. "You must have me confused with someone else. My name is Romeo."

She chuckled softly before curtsying to him. "Right. Sorry." When she stood up straight, she smiled and placed her hand on his arm, teasingly, admiring his complimentary Romeo costume. "To what do I owe the pleasure?"

Caleb smiled as his gaze moved to her hand then back to her eyes. "Well, I heard that a beautiful maiden was here alone and I couldn't pass up on that opportunity."

Hanna's cheek turned a light shade of pink as he spoke, before she hugged him tightly. "I'm glad you're back."

He hugged her back, holding her close and running his fingers through her hair, glad to be back after a week without her. "Me too." Caleb whispered in her ear, before he pulled away and stood in front of her. "You look amazing."

"Thanks. You don't look so bad yourself." She said, playfully as she adjusted his bow tie. "There. Now you look handsome."

"What would I do without?" He asked, smiling, before taking a few steps back and bowing in front of her. "May I have this dance?"

"Oh my god, Caleb!" She nodded and laughed, surprised as to how he was acting tonight, but she loved that he did all this for her.

He smiled as her took her hand in his, before carefully pulling her towards the dance floor and wrapping his arms around her waist, pulling her close as they began to sway to the music.

She smiled as they danced, leaning her head against his chest, before speaking up. "How is your mom?"

"She's good, but she's dying to meet you. We need to plan something soon or she said she's coming up here." He looked down at her and smiled before whispering in her ear. "She also thinks I'm trying to keep you to myself and that might actually be true." He said with a smirk.

"Good! I'd love to meet her, Caleb." She looked up at him and smiled, lovingly.

Caleb looked back at her with the same loving look. "Your wish is my command, princess, but right now I want you all to myself." He said, playfully, before leaning in and kissing her, right as the clock struck twelve. This was turning out to be a great night. No sign of –A or anyone else that would want to harm her. It was just him and the girl he loved. Romeo and Juliet.
