Jenna took the last sip of her coffee and stood up to leave her favourite café. Although she did love her job, she was happy to have most of the day off. Jenna walked towards the exit but froze as she reached the pane of glass separating her from the cold city of Cardiff, outside.
"You alright, love?" The Barista noted her pause.
"Yeah, fine." She replied, not turning back to look at her. She had her eyes focused on a girl, familiar to her, walking along the pavement on the other side of the road. Long, dark hazel hair pulled back into a ponytail and a smile you'd spot a mile off, it could only be one person. "Charley Webb" She whispered to herself. She turned back around to the woman working behind the counter. "Actually" A grin formed on her face "I'm great." Before the woman could barley even look up to see her favourite customer, she'd left the coffee shop.
Jenna ran to the edge of the pavement. Charley had gone past her when she was in the café, so didn't spot her but faced to the left, away from the short brunette. Jenna knew waiting for the traffic lights could resort in losing her, so quickly looked left and right, sprinting across the road. Charley took a moment to navigate, standing still as she did. 'Perfect' Jenna thought. She snuck up behind the tall girl and wrapped her arms around her waist, hugging her from behind. Charley jumped at her touch before turning round in her arms and looking down at Jenna.
"Jenna?" A smile started grew on her face as the realisation sunk in "Jenna!" She wrapped her arms around her smaller friend and squeezed her tightly.
"It's really you."
"Yes."
"I missed you so much"
