Pit could not begin to comprehend what was happening. Only two single hours had passed since he had been comfortably sitting up in the Heavens above, watching the latest Brawl tournament though Palutena's magic picture glass. But chaos had soon, and quite rudely, errupted amoungst the world, as the earth and the skies were heartlessly swallowed by the dark blotches of Subspace.

As he glided amongst the clouds, it was no suprise to Pit when he suddenly spotted his hero and idol: Mario Mario, lying trophified five feet below ("Aww man! could this day get any worse?!"). Springing to action, Pit wasted no time. Placing a hand upon Mario's cold metallic body, Pit reanimated him due to sheer force of will ("I think I can, I think I can, I think I can, I think I can...").

Mario sat there for a few moments, in a stupified daze, as he reaccounted todays recent unfoldings while skaing his hat clad head. Mario had yet to notice Pit.

While Pit, on the other hand, was all too aware of what he had just done. However, he had a bit of trouble convincing himself that... Oh his sweet, beautiful, holy Goddess!! He had just saved the Great Mario Mario! talk about star struck!!---maybe he could get an autograph! Damn! Where's that pen...

Maio turned to Pit then. "You're the kiddo who saved me?" Mario dead panned.

and Pit had nearly lost his nerve. Mario, his number one hero all of time, was speaking t-to him! The angel boy stood there for a long second, his month wide and agape. Dumbstruck and unable to talk, Pit merely nodded his head, his brown curls bouncing up and about.

"Thanks for that." Mario spoke as he dusted off his shoulders. "I owe you one." he winked while then adjusting his trademark cap.

Pit stepped back into the fray, the stars still twinkling in his eyes. "I, uh, woooow." Cough, cough, cough! "I mean, uh, it's no big deal." Pit shrugged, kicking up some cloud dust. For once in your life, Pit, be cool! he had to keep on telling himself.

"You comin'?" Mario interupted.

"Say wha?" Pit asked.

"My Peach is in danger (and who knows who else), we gotta go get her back." Mario answered.

Pit felt his tongue dry up in his mouth. "You want me to come with you?!"

and to this Mario merely nodded, gestering his out streched hand toward the open ocean filled with clouds and other worldly wonders. "She's waiting," he beckoned and Pit couldn't tell if Mario was referring to the princess or the uncharted adventures that were guaranteed to be awaiting him in the world beyond the clouds.

"Uh, okay." he ackwardly gulped, just before spreading out his magnificent wings.

and with a comforting glance of reassurance from his hero, the angel looked to the sky and grinned.
