Little Girls In Pretty Boxes

By SMYGO4EVA

Lovely, lovely Serenity. As long as I have existed, I've always waited for the right person for me. And I found her: I found you, Serenity Wheeler. I didn't expect this, but I see that fate has smiled upon me, after thousands of years in solitude. I have been set free by Yugi, and then I met you. How could I resist you? You're so beautiful, beautiful as the most crimson of roses.

This world, a supposed utopia, is just a façade. It's not one of the realms and places you dream about; it's more than that. The world is full of both good and evil beings, and we don't know for sure who we can trust. I might as well be an evil being, with all I've caused. But, you shouldn't worry. You'll be safe with me. Your skin is delicate, frail, and porcelain. So fragile, like a doll's dew-kissed skin.

You can trust me, and only me, because I know this world isn't a safe one. It's not a doll house, not a house full of adorable figures and lovely paintings. It's a broken mirror, jagged pieces of silk glass on a bloody floor. You can't trust anything in this glass marble, but you can count on me. I'm the only real being here, my Serenity. I'm the lion and you're the lamb; I'll protect you. After all, you're easily broken. Just like those dolls over there, the little girls in pretty boxes.

(A/N: This is my first drabble with a creepy Yami, which sends shivers down my spine anytime that comes up. Read and review!)
