I just thought of my favorite character Malcolm Reed and this came to me after watching "Terra Nova" again on tape. Summary: Set immediately after "Terra Nova". Reed's POV. It's after he returns to the Enterprise at the end of the episode.

First I requested to go to the lavatory to relieve my bladder. Then Dr. Phlox got the projectile out of my leg. He says I can't move it for a few days. I sit in bed bored as hell.
The Captain says not to worry about work. I have to worry about work. I'm the armory officer. What if something terrible happens while I'm in bed? Anyway, everyone came to visit me in my quarters (even T'Pol).
The visitor I enjoy most is Hoshi. We have long conversations. I like her company. I think I'm falling in love with her.
