Prim's story:
She didn't die. When Katniss and the others left for the Capitol President Coin was sending nurses to the Capitol, and wanted Prim there, too...But her mother wouldn't allow it. In this story, Terra Everdeen put up a fight agains the President for her daughter to stay. It was a very wise thing too because if she had gone, she would have died. 5 years later. She's 18, and a well known doctor in District 13. Her now 22 year old sister, the famous Katniss Everdeen is married to Peeta Mellark with one daughter who is now a year old. She has yet to visit them. Wanting to visit her new niece but not wanting to take off from her job, Prim is stuck. That is until she meets a new patient at the hospital, Derek Fall. He's sick, very sick, and there's really nothing they can do. He has a rare, incurealbe disease and has 100 days left to live. She is to be his doctor for 91 days, which is how long Autumn is, until she can find a good replacement for her so she could take a month vacation in District 12. She thought it'd be no big deal, she thought she could handle it. Little did she know that Derek would turn her life upside down in 100 days of Fall.
