"A dream is a wish your heart makes
When you're fast asleep..."
She was once again willing her heart to stop…to stop wishing for him to love her; she couldn´t take any more pain.
"In dreams you lose your heartaches
Whatever you wish for, you keep..."
He was thinking, no, wishing to be stronger to face what he feels for her, but he knows he can´t. He´s too broken, too shattered, and he couldn´t let himself be hurt again, even if that meant loosing her.
"Have faith in your dreams and someday
Your rainbow will come smiling thru..."
She´s leaving; she can´t stand to be around him anymore. She´s to fragile now, and she knows he´s not ready yet to love again. Maybe he never will, but she has faith that someday will be their day, that someday darkness will leave them alone, able to love each other, but she knows that today is not the day, so she needs to go away.
"No matter how your heart is grieving..."
He knows she´s leaving and he wants to stop her but he won´t because he´s too broken now. She needs him to be better, but he is not there yet. He´s still fighting his shadows, his demon, and so is she.
"If you keep on believing
The dream that you wish will come true..."
"Yeah one day and he goes to work."
"Yeah one day and she gets on the plane."
They both know that one day their wish will be granted; they will be together and that keeps them going.
