It was all so fast when it happened, Sorry, let me introduce myself my name is Cardiff Everday like the city in Britain but I lived in a medium sized town near a larger city that were basically part off but not officially. I'm gonna be perfectly honest and say that the crime rate is a bit higher than other towns mostly because criminals come here to lay low so not the best neighborhood and along side the fact that the only good school is in the main part of the city so that's a nightmare of a commute but it's pretty fun if you have someone to talk to on the way there, but that would be true if you weren't me. You see i'm not the most approachable person there is and this isn't because of my appearance, I think I look fairly nice with my tanned skin and black hair that for some reason that alludes me sticks up in every direction giving me a sort of windswept look in an area that doesn't get much. My eyes were the standard brown like most of the population but I had flecks of gold in there from my Mother i'm told, I haven't really met my parents but family tells me my Father's name was Augustus Everday and my Mother's was Crystal Everday but my father was murdered before I was born and my Mother passed away at child birth.

I lived with my aunt and uncle who just pretended I didn't exist but that didn't bother me as I started living on my own at the age of 16 and now i'm 17 and before you as how a skinny 5'10 teenager lives on his own well that is because of my little hobby and no, its not murder. In my spare time as a child I was alway interested in detective cases like murders and missing persons cases and etcetera, so I looked up some already solved cases that were released into the public and from the evidence and witness accounts try to guess what happened and who did what, much to my surprise I had an amazing talent at it and I guess most of them correctly especially ones pertaining to robbery and murder like where their hiding, motives, and where their likely to end up next. When I turned 16 there was an emergency alert on the t.v. during dinner saying that there have been a string of kidnapping in the area and along the coastline, the kidnappings mostly targeted at children and teenagers and the perpetrator is hasn't been identified and is still at large. Now this is around the time I have guessed and reasoned out the outcomes to most crimes in the area but something this big attracted me like a starving man to all you can eat restaurant.

When it turned 11 o'clock I woke up and immediately started my research into the kidnappings. They were centered on the coast end of the city where most of the docks are and where many people commute through to get to the offices and businesses past them so that's probably what's holding up the police. After about an hour of looking at old documents about crimes in the area I stumbled across something interesting, an unsolved murder case where a fisherman's teenage son and young daughter were brutally killed and dumped into the sea for unknown reason. The father soon disappeared off the face of the earth after the case was declared unsolvable but has popped up now and again in pictured and news clippings speaking about how the killer is still at large with a few quotes from the father who is revealed to be named Alex Whitman and that he still owns the boat the children were murdered on and surprise surprise he worked as a fisherman and cleaner at the coast of the city primarily but once in a while goes farther out to sea so the fish don't get depleted which makes sense but in one article he says and I quote "I won't ever be able to do my job now without seeing my children in the sea around the boat" If the murder of his children affected his so much then why is it that his boat is still in service and registered under his name? I don't think this is a coincidence at all plus to re enforce this the day his children were allegedly killed was about three months before the kidnappings started which is how long it takes to get a vehicle authorized to be used after a law is broken or crime committed in it at least in this city it is.

I was 90% sure I had found the right guy so I wrote down all of my information and did something I thought I would never need to do, I grabbed the house phone and called the police

"Hello this is the GCPD what is your emergency" a male voice said to me in monotone and I could tell he was tired and wanted to hang up so I cut to the point

"I found the coastal kidnapper" I usually keep things blunt fast and to the point and that usually makes people take me more seriously but when I was this age I was stuck at that awkward stage where my body didn't match my voice so I sounded much younger than I actually was leading to this.

"Ha, funny joke kid but do you know you can get into a lot of trouble if you call the police for no reason so go back to bed!"

Then he hung up on me leaving me unsure what to do if no one would believe me and let the kidnappings continue or worse the kidnapping becomes killings. I made up my mind after a few minutes that it was up to me to stop him as cliche as that sounds so I went back upstairs and got back on the computer and searched for clues on his location which I found none, Alex Whitman is completely off the grid and I felt lost until I remembered his one remaining tie to his old life… his boat.
