He is killing himself.
He will die one day and I know it will be from drink. I have seen the monster that is a wine problem claim many victims, but I never imagined he would be one.
He is weak after losing his dinner in drunken sickness. I have been waiting for this, have come up to check on him and put him to bed.
In the darkness, watching over him, I realize I have become more of a parent than a friend.
The monster has not yet taken his body, but it has already stolen my best friend.
