Kuchiki Shinogu took a moment to admire the flowers scattered all around him. The patches of purple, blue, and yellow flowers were a beautiful sight. He had passed them before on his way down the dirt path but never stopped to truly admire their beauty. For while the flowers were a beautiful sight to behold it was what lay at the end of the path that truly had his attention.
Shinogu smiled and took one last look at the flowers. It would be the last time he would get to see them. With a heavy sigh he turned away and resumed his walk. He had procrastinated enough. He already knew no matter what he did the outcome would not change. But that hadn't stopped him from spending the whole week dreading this day.
He emerged from path into a wide cavern. Standing at the front of the cavern staring into the sky was a tall man. His slate gray eyes were fixed upon an object in the distance.
"Father I have come." Shingou said.
Kuchiki Byakuya gave a barely discernable nod. He continued to stare outside the cavern at a tall structure that was barely visible among the clouds. A light mist had formed outside giving the Tower an eerie feeling. As he continued to stare at the massive structure a loud bang sounded. Before the echo even died the Tower shuddered and made a loud noise like a groan. Byakuya turned to his son.
"It has begun."
