This is the first thing I've written with non-canon elements. It makes a lot more sense after reading the Narayani Collective's RP forum. Some of the lines are similar to their French counterparts, and some of Tieran's lines are taken directly from the thread "Looking for Ervan".
Saavedro:
Alani!
It's a word that was made for the lattice tree
When it sends on the wind all its spores puffy,
As if a bird were flying high over the sea;
But now it seems that world is closed off to me.
The tree is dead and our society undone.
What can be left alive for me in Narayan?
He
Who introduced this conflict to our land of peace
Should come rewrite it to before the mass decease.
O Ancestors!
Oh please let me see the sun
Beyond this shield which hides away my Narayan.
Aznor:
Alani!
When did this desire find itself in me?
Now it tells me to leave the Narayani,
And now I have this feeling strange of treachery
Which makes it hard to face my dear Kaami.
O spirits, please forgive my great impiety.
Would my departure go against propriety?
We
Should live a happy life of joy, and not of naught;
Our land is sick with all the hardships that we've fought.
O Kaami-na!
Oh please let me see the sun
Of somewhere else besides this world of Narayan.
Tieran:
Alani!
Despite those who say that it has beauty,
I would rather test its flammability.
I'd just as soon see the whole age sink in the sea,
But that would leave no escape route for me.
I hear there is a linking book in the Dead Tree.
I can be a friend or relentless enemy.
He
Who wants to stay here proves his own insanity.
He throws away his freedom for captivity.
O Blood-of-Vine!
Oh please let me see the sun
No more until the pyre day of Narayan.
