Welcome to this years Hunger Games where 24 tributes battle it out in what should be the most interesting arena yet! Join us as alliances are formed and broken, blood is spilled, and all but one will die. Who has what it takes to win this year's Hunger Games? *SYOT OPEN*

President Snow sat at his desk watching the recap of the reapings. He smiled to himself as we watched fear cross some of the children's faces and bloodlust in others. This year seemed to have a good mix in kids prompting a good show.

The doors to Snow's study opened as his Head Game Maker, Athena Veene, strolled in. Her golden eyes were steady as she approached his desk.

"Everything is prepared and ready to go sir," she said, her expression unfaltering.

"Good," he replied coldly. He adjusted himself in his seat and began to replay the reapings. "Have you seen this year tributes?"

"Yes," she replied, a lump in her throat. "They seem to be an interesting bunch."

"They do, don't they," he smiled coldly. "I do hope the arena will be just as interesting."

"Y-yes sir, it should be." Her lip began to twitch as memories of the previous arena – her arena – failed to impress anybody. The barren desert left almost no places to hide. They had a winner within 36 hours.

"You better hope it is. Your, well let's say, place in this world depends on it." She nodded, the lump in her throat preventing her from saying anymore. She knew exactly what he meant.

Impress him or die.
