I still feel as if I owe my readers more stories, so let me do a quick one-shot for Gary and Leaf from the top of my head!
The brunette sighed, running his fingers through his spiky hair. It has been a month since he got to see that bubbly brunette. "That girl is weird." He muttered under his breath, taking a seat in the green grass of Pallet town. "Can't believe she was my childhood friend."
"Someone talking about me?" An all too familiar bubbly voice said, taking a seat next to the spiky haired teen. "Hm, Gary?"
"Pesky girl." Gary muttered getting up from his spot.
The girl pouted. "If I'm that much of a pest, you would have yelled at me to take a hike by now." She said, retrieving her signature smirk back to her face. The spiky haired teen rolled his eyes. This girl always had something up her sleeve, some sort of retort or snarky remark. It was one of the things that made Leaf. Typical clumsy Leaf.
"You're right, I WOULD have, if it weren't for your stubborn attitude. I know you too well." He said, gaining a playful punch from his friend. He chuckled and walked away from the patch of grass, Leaf getting up to follow.
"Where're you going, hot shot?"
"Gramps wants me to come over, he told me you'd be coming so I decided to wait for you. And don't EVER call me hotshot!"
Leaf laughed and ran over to walk with Gary. "Porcupine sounds good?"
Gary stopped in his tracks, paling slightly. "Uh... Hotshot sounds good." Leaf smiled in triumph as she skipped ahead of her spiky haired rival. He shook his head, sighing. How the hell did he meet this girl?
"You're weird, Leaf."
"I'm always weird." She said, turning around and giving Gary a quick peck to the cheek. His face grew hot and he looked away.
"Pesky girl."
Leaf giggled, entering the automatic doors of the Lab. "But I'm your Pesky Girl." She said as the doors closed, Leaving Gary to stand there and blush.
