She had started going back to support group because of Isaac's persistence and found it really did help to talk about things. One Monday she dragged herself out of bed to catch a antm marathon. "Sweetie, could you go get the mail?" Hazel wordlessly went to the mailbox not fully functioning yet. She opened it up and grabbed the contents which were mostly bills. As she was walking back one of the letters fell out of her hands. She bent down to pick it up and saw it was from Isaac. Puzzled, she walked inside, dropped the other mail on the table, and sat down on the couch. Hazel opened the envelope and pulled out a piece of paper with a sticky note on it. She read the sticky note first. "Gus sent this before he passed and I thought you should read it." it said in braille and Isaac's Mom's handwriting under it. She pulled the sticky not off and started reading the letter. /spanspan style="color: #222222; font-family: proxima-nova, 'Helvetica Neue', Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 14px; line-height: 20px; background-color: #fefefe;""Dear Isaac," It read "I know that by the time you get this I will be long gone but this is very important. After I die, don't let hazel be sad. Take care of her. Chances are you will fall in love with her like I did. You will realize how truly beautiful and amazing she is, on the inside of course because of your eyes or should I say lack there of. Just promise me she will be okay. Augustus Waters" Hazel read the letter again. Then again. She smiled in bittersweet sadness right before crying. Her mother rushed in. "Honey! What is it? What's wrong?" Hazel couldn't speak so she handed the note and paper. Her mother read it and looked at her daughter. "He is looking out for you beyond the grave. That boy really did love you." She said in a soft voice. She got up realizing her daughter should be alone. When her mother left hazel reached over to the coffee table to get her phone. She texted Isaac two simple words, "thank you". 5 years later hazel stood in front of the mirror in a wedding dress. "I look terrible." "Stop that. You look amazing." her mother said. She took a deep breath and walked down the isle with her father. "Do you take Isaac as your husband?" "I do." After they got married they moved into a bigger home and had a child. He was a sweet little boy named Augustus. "Mommy do you know what love is?" He asked her. "I do, Augustus, I do."/span/p
