Ikanaide
Aisha: Dimension Witch
Elsword: Infinity Sword
Raven: Veteran Commander
Chung: Tactical Trooper
Ara: Asura
Elsword x Aisha (IS x DW)
Chung x Ara (TT x AS) if you squint
Aisha watched in silence as Elsword laughed and slung his arm over Chung. The two walked away, farther, and farther. The witch simply stared.
'When did he seem so far away?'
Elsword... When he accepted the Dark El, he... changed. So much. He distanced himself. Aisha couldn't even remember the last time they had quarrelled. Perhaps back when she and Elsword were only a Battle Magician and Sheath Knight respectively.
'I can't speak...' She stared soundlessly. A feeling of emptiness dragged down at her heart, her feet. Aisha stood in place.
'I'm stuck here, unable to move on.'
She turned around to walk back to her room.
There wasn't anything she could do to stop this separation, it was inevitable. She knew in her heart that this could have never been avoided from the first day Elsword came back, possessing a spirit named 'Conwell'.
She knew she lost him.
"Aisha," Ara said, "Are you sure you're okay with this?" the fox warrior glanced at a red-headed boy, flirting with a passerby girl in Velder.
She remained silent before responding absent-mindedly, "Hm? Oh, yeah... Sure, nothing's wrong. Why do you ask?"
"Don't you miss Elsword?"
"N-no." The witch looked away, "I don't. There's nothing to miss anyways. I'm okay, I don't feel a thing."
"Well... Everyone is changing so drastically, don't you want to go back?" Ara sighed, "I know I do. All Chung is concerned about is his father. Maybe I'm the same with my brother, but he seems... unattainable now."
Aisha laughed bitterly.
"Isn't that just right?"
'Don't go away yet...'
Shutting herself in her room, Aisha sat on her bed. Her room was so bright and had a cheery atmosphere to it, had the negative aura not been seeping from her.
Her violet eyes trailed to a shelf.
A picture frame.
Her and Elsword during a festival back when they were Battle Magician and Sheath Knight, not Dimension Witch and Infinity Sword.
"Elsword, you moron!" Aisha berated, hitting the poor boy over the head with her staff.
"Ow! I'm sorry! How was I supposed to know that Add was afraid of ghosts?!" He clutched his head to stop the magician from hitting him any further.
"Insufferable little idiot!" She yelled, crossing her arms. "To atone for your crimes you have to buy me something to eat!"
"Aren't you fat enoug—"
Aisha flared red, "You don't tell a lady that, El-dork!" proceeding to beat him with her staff again.
"Ow! Okay, okay!" Elsword cringed, "What do you want?"
The magician laughed before dragging the knight along with her to a nearby stand. The two actually didn't bicker for the rest of the night. They simply watched the fireworks in harmony as the dispersed into the night.
The fireworks bloomed, as did their friendship.
But like the fireworks, their friendship dissolved into blackness and fell to the ground in pieces, no longer blooming or bright.
She walked along the roads alone, and yet...
She stood in place as time moved on, eroding her into whatever it pleased, hurting, harming her.
The sun set, the sun rose, it was an endless cycle spinning over and over again. Nothing stopped it. Her shadow followed her, it mocked her endlessly as it grew and shrank, but never disappeared, it mocked her of her weakness.
'We'll make it through together.' He smiled.
Aisha tripped over a crack in the walkway, falling to her knees, scrapping, bruising them.
'You dumb magician,' he would have sighed, offering his hand to help her up, 'B-be more careful next time, because I won't help you up again.' he would lie, because he was always there for her.
Except now.
Staggering back on to her feet, Aisha continued her trek around Velder.
'I'm on my own now, aren't I?'
She closed the door behind her, glancing up to see Elsword laughing with Raven now.
The stopped when they noticed her, "Oh hey Aisha, what's up?" Elsword asked.
Aisha faked a smile before replying, "Not much, just wanted to get some fresh air. What are you guys laughing about?"
"Not much." Elsword dismissed, "Something about the couple of girls who keep on asking me out."
She had to pinch herself to not crack, "Oh I see, well... I don't have anything to elaborate that with..."
"Hey Aisha," Elsword started.
Aisha laughed nervously before dashing away into her room, she didn't want to look, she didn't want to listen to anything he had to say.
But the persistent redhead knocked on her door soon afterward, "Hey Aisha? You there?"
She didn't reply.
"Okay, you are. Just so you know, since you're the only one here at the moment, Raven and I are going out to fight some demons for a bit. If you wanna come, just open the door."
He paused before continuing.
"Fine, we'll go then."
Aisha's lips parted.
She wanted to cry, 'Don't go!'
But her mouth disobeyed her.
"See you later."
((A/N: okay in all honesty, I wanted to do ANOTHER DE x CBS oneshot based on this song. But I thought I was dumping too much AddxEve stuff and tried out something different. ElsAi!~ even though it's angsty because that's all I can do I swear. JubyPhonic covered Ikanaide lately and it speaks to me on unholy levels.
No update till March Break, which is in two weeks. I may post a Raven x Rena oneshot in the meantime, but that's only a possibility.
Prepare for more angst if I do post it.))
