A/N: Entire number 2: Rhythm of Love, Plain White T's. I love that song, so, I had to do one. Do I own the song, the band, or 39 Clues? No. Do I want to? Uh, le duh! Summary: Dan was always daydreaming, and Natalie wants to get him down.
My head is stuck in the clouds
She begs me to come down
Says "Boy quit foolin' around"
"Dan, get down here!" Dan's girlfriend-ish friend, Natalie Kabra yelled "It's your turn to wash dishes!". Dan sighed. We that was no fun!
I told her "I love the view from up here
Warm sun and wind in my ear
We'll watch the world from above
As it turns to the rhythm of love"
"Aw, Nat, can you do them? Please!" Dan whinned, and Natalie sighed from the first floor of the college dorm. Yeah, college. Ian and Amy were out in the world, Amy as an author, and Ian as a lawyer. An ironic job for a Lucian, trying to uncover the truth, when your whole life, you lived lies.
We may only have tonight
But till the morning sun you're mine all mine
Play the Music low and sway to the rhythm of love
"No, now, come HERE!" Dan sighed, and put down his game controler.
My heart beats like a drum
A guitar string to the strum
A beautiful song to be sung
She's got blue eyes deep like the sea
Natalie's amber eyes always surprised Dan. The shocking color, mixed with the effect of her coffe skin, tanned prefectly, gave her a exotic look.
That roll back when she's laughing at me
She laughed at Dan's antics quite often.
She rises up like the tide
The moment her lips meet mine
"I'm here, now, where are the dishes?" Dan huffed. "What dishes?" Natalie asked innocenly. She reached up, and for a moment, Dan brace himself to be hit with a dart. Instead, he felt Natalie's soft lips meet his.
We may only have tonight
But till the morning sun you're mine all minePlay the Music low and sway to the rhythm of love
Dan was in heaven! Oh, they'd kissed before, but never had she started it, adn never had it been for more then a moment.
When the moon is low
We can dance in slow motion
And all your tears will subside
All your tears will dry
Natalie was sharing Dan's thoughts. Oh, how she loved this!
Ba-ba ba-ba ba-ba baba
Da da-da dum da-da dum
Ba-ba ba-ba ba-ba ba-ba
Da da-da dum da-da dum
After a while, they pulled apart. "Now, are you sure you want to major in lazyness?" Natalie asked slyly, and Dan was confused. Natalie pulled out somthing from a stamped folder. "You passed Calcuis finals, you can go on break.".
And long after I've gone
You'll still be humming along
And I will keep you in my mind
The way you make love so fine
We may only have tonight
But till the morning sun you're mine all mine
Dan was extatic, he'd found a major, he'd gotten a kiss from Nataie, and break was starting tomorro! How awesome was that!
Play the music low and sway to the rhythm of love
Dan loved her. Natalie loved him. Love was the beat they danced to, hand in hand, until the world stopped turining. Love, the fuel of the world.
