The first time he saw her she was simply alone. Sitting alone in the hallway of the school and he could see the loneliness and disappointment and it all made him want to run over and hug her and then show her the rest of the good that could come from the universe. Show her that things got better outside of her surroundings. He imagined the planets and the times he would take her to and seeing her smile appear for the first time, he would watch as her mask would drop and she would finally be herself.

He wanted to walk over and meet her, he wanted to do all he could to just make her feel better. Watching her a little longer he took a step forward, closing the short distance between the two souls before he moved back as another girl came and sat down with the sad girl.

He moved back and turned back around, sometimes there were times that he had to let the planet be.

The first time she saw him it felt like something out of one of Berry's musicals. Something unexplainable but could be sung to express everything. She watched him investigate the unknown creature, it was beyond comprehension for her yet there was something about the man that made her feel at home in his presence. Her heart beated loudly in her chest, the adrenalin making her feel woozy. She took another look from behind her hiding place, the sneakers and long coat making her smile. Sitting down and looking away she made her own decision, she decided that she would meet him and let everything go where they do.

Standing up she turned around to where the mysterious strangers had stood, the place now empty along with the creature. Looking around she sighed and wondered whether Santana had sprayed her one too many times with hairspray.

"Doctor?"

"Yes Quinn?"

"I really like travelling with you" Quinn said, standing behind the console she smiled watching the Doctor. The Doctor moved around and stood next to the blonde, placing his hand upon her shoulder he smiled.

"I really like travelling with you too" and in the hum of the TARDIS and the time vortex, the bond of the two weary travellers grew fonder
