This is a short oneshot of Finnick's thoughts happening a little before the Quarter Quell. Enjoy! :)

Finnick's Point of View

It was late. Actually, now, it was very early. A beautiful array of colors splashed across the sky. Orange, yellow, blue, green. The beautiful sunrise seemed completely out-of-place. A warm hand stroked my cheek. I turned, half-hoping it was her. It wasn't.

"Finnick," the woman murmured. She was wrapped in pink sheets with a sultry look. She looked like dead fish, complete with scaly, multicolored skin. Of course, I smiled back. It used to hurt to smile to such people. It made me feel queasy. Eventually, the pain and disgust faded away, leaving me hollow inside. But I had to deal with it. For her.

Naturally, I wouldn't be doing this without some kind of payment. Money meant nothing. I wanted secrets. One day, I would have a use for them. I would make these people regret everything; all those drunken secrets and whispered moments. Most of all, I would make them regret ever hurting her. They call her mad. When, in reality, they made her mad. They broke her and turned her mad. But that's something we both have in common.

We are both broken and mad. But, I am hers and she is mine.

The Capitol will never be able to take my dear Annie away from me.

The Capitol should never be able to take anyone away from their loved ones. I will do everything in my power to make sure the Mockingjay succeeds.

Even if I have to die, the world will become free. For the children. For Annie.

I grinned at the scaly woman and caressed her cheek, "Do you have any secrets for me, my dear?"

I've ALWAYS loved Finnick and Annie. My favorite OTP ever. They are so so so cute~ LOVE! Anyways, I hope you liked it.
