ok so i had posted this story somewhere in january. i was planning on doing some updates on my stories, i usually check them and read through them before i write a new chapter. well when i saw this story , i honestly don't know what happened it was like something glitched out and the story was looking weird, at least on my computer it did so here i am rewriting so im sorry for the inconvenience and i will also be posting a 2nd chapter later

chapter 1
Clary and Jon both 13
4 years earlier
when Jon and clary got home from school their mom (Jocelyn) and dad (valentine) sat them down because they all needed to have a family meeting. it was very important and big changes were going to be made . once they sat down Jon and clary looked at their mom and dad. they could tell they both looked nervous
"what's wrong mom" clary asked, Jocelyn looked at clary obviously contemplating on what to say
"me...and...your dad are getting a...divorce" Jocelyn finally said, clary and Jon looked at each other stunned
"what does that mean" Jon said "for us"
"well" valentine started "I will be moving to California after the divorce, if one or both of you would like to join me in California you all are more then welcome too"
"you can also stay with me" Jocelyn said "you both get to decide who you want to be with"
clary and Jon exchanged looks talking things through and figuring things out with their twin telepathy. After a few minutes or so they both came up with their decisions.
"i want to stay with mom" jon said
"and i want to go with dad" clary said
valentine's expression was one of shock that instantly softened into a warm smile. Jocelyn's expression however displayed hurt and sadness. clary went to go give her mother a hug. clary hugged her and whispered in her ear "don't worry mom, I'll be back before you even realize I am gone" Jocelyn laughed and hugged clary tighter
4 months later
valentine had just packed the last of the boxes into the moving truck. clary went back to the house to say goodbye to her mom and brother/p
clary went up to Jon and gave him a hug "I'm going to miss you Johnny" clary said
"I'll miss you too Clare-bear" Jon said
next was clary's mom. clary went to hug her mom "I love you mom, I will miss you"
"I love you too sweetheart, if you ever want to come home just give me a call. Okay?"
clary laughed and gave a small smile "sure mom" she said
clary finished her goodbyes and got in the truck were her dad was waiting from there they set off on their journey to California
California here I come clary thought
i honestly didn't realize how short of a chapter this was until i wrote it again..sorry
