*Rythian's POV*

I've lost everything. So much of the magic is gone. There is so little I can do now. More than half of our stuff was destroyed in the… whatever. Starting new is fine. We can forget about the past and just live in peace. We may have lost our cool weapons and armour, but that's fine. We'll just make new ones.

*Third Person*

After rummaging through and messing with magic stuff, Rythian pauses for a second. He looks over at Zoey's bed next to his. He drops everything and walks over to Cabertown. On the way, he sees Teep in his tower.

"Hi Tee," he calls out. Teep ignores him and keeps shooting at monsters.

"Okay then. I'm going over to visit Zoey, preferably alone."

Teep looks up this time, hearing Zoey's name. He just nods and goes back to shooting.

Rythian heads towards the hospital. He checks in at the front desk and goes to Zoey's room. This isn't the first time he's visited. Every day since the nuke, he's visited Zoey. He just holds her hand and stares at her beautiful face and her fiery red hair. She looks so peaceful when she sleeps, he thinks.

Rythian walks in the door. He is happy to see her, but still sad to see her like this. He goes to the same spot he always goes to. He sits right beside her and holds her one real hand. He strokes her hand as a tear rolls down his face. It burns his skin, but the pain he feels inside is much worse than that. Suddenly Zoey jumps up in a panic. Rythian is frightened and shocked by her awaken. Zoey starts to cry and puts her head in her hands.

"Oh Rythian, I had a horrible nightmare! I was trying to defuse a nuke and it blew up and everything was destroyed and everyone was gone-" Zoey sits up abruptly. She looks at her hand and pauses for a moment. Then she turns to Rythian and throws her arms around him. Rythian hesitates, and returns her hug. Zoey pulls away and looks into Rythian's eyes. She can tell by the look on his face that he was telling her it was no dream. She looks back at her hand again in shock. It looks as if Zoey is devastated by the missing hand, so Rythian tries to comfort her.

"I know it's hard to believe, but everything's going to be alright n-" Before Rythian could finish, Zoey jumps with joy.

"Ohmygosh, I have a robo arm! I'm like part machine now! This is so cool! I'm all science-y and stuff! I love it!" Zoey continues on with her excitement from the arm talking about all the things she can do with it. Rythian rolls his eyes with a smile and thinks that's my Zoey.

Zoey tries to stand in her excitement, but then falls back onto the bed. Rythian puts his hand on her shoulder, concerned for her health.

"Whoa, whoa, you're not fully healed yet. You still need to rest from the radiation." Zoey calms down and lies back on her pillow. "I'll come back tomorrow after you get a full night's rest."

Zoey looks into his soft gaze. "Alright," she says with a pouty face. Rythian smiles and squeezes her hand. Zoey smiles in return and watches as he walks to the door. Without Zoey expecting it, Rythian turns around and Zoey looks down pretending she wasn't staring.

"Zoey, before I go, I want to tell you something…" She looks up, noticing the serious tone in his voice and stops smiling to let him know she's fully listening. "Zoey, I've been wanting to tell you for a long time now, but I didn't know when, so I'm going to tell you now… I-I love you. I knew it from the very start when you fell out of the sky…" Zoey blushes and giggles. Rythian continues, "I actually tried to tell you when we were talking on the computer. The connection was bad and my computer blew up," Rythian chuckles.

"So it was important…" Zoey murmurs to herself.

"What?"

"Oh it's nothing…" she says giving him a fake smile.

"Okay, well, goodnight."

"Goodnight," Zoey says as she blows him a kiss.

Rythian blushes and heads back to the base. Zoey slowly drifts to sleep in her hospital bed, thinking about him.

He loves me… she thinks to herself, smiling. He really loves me...
