It was the coldest of days in November. The rain had fallen heavily, carrying the smell of blood for miles. However, the storm was slowly beginning to cease as the dust cleared and the last pieces of rubble collapsed. What had followed was truly a horrifying sight; ponies were cast and strewn over lamps, spread out across the road, hanging out of windows, and laying in pieces in the gutters. The dull roar of water pouring from the rooftops was maddening, as was the deafening howl of the torrential wind. However, there was a brief pause where one could hear a lone stomping of hooves; Soon, a lone pony came into view. Applejack had been torn apart by battle, orange flank marred by the scars of war, and was scrambling down the derelict avenues. Her panting was nearly inaudible, deafened by a sudden, massive shaking throughout the earth. Windows began to crash apart shortly behind her, loose bricks falling aimlessly to the ground. She vaulted through the wreckage of a storefront and desperately attempted to climb through the ruins. The shaking grew louder as the walls around her began to collapse and crumble. Rapidly, the rubble began to slide into place, trapping her underneath a mound of debris. The quake had reached monumental proportions. It only took a few seconds, but it felt like a lifetime. As the quake had finished, she realized that she had not been crushed. She was trapped. Yelling as loudly as she could yell, she hoped that somepony was around who could save her. Her last yell had faded from the air when a faint voice could be heard in the distance. Her ears perked up as it slowly got closer. Quickly she recognized its terrifying call. As her eyes adjusted, she noticed a faint ray of light shimmering through the rubble. With one eye closed, she peered out through the cracks. Within moments, her worst fears had been confirmed. A myriad of monsters stampeded through the streets, echoing a never ending omen as they absorbed any stone, plank or corpse in their path. Applejack screamed at the top of her lungs, struggling to escape. It was of no use.
They acted like a hive mind, destroying everything in its path. Before she had even finished her screaming, they stampede had turned its attention to her. She tried to escape the rubble, but it was of no use. It quickly transformed into one, gigantic towering wave, covering everything in sight with a mysterious substance. The last thing she could hear was a distorted choir of demonic screeches, chanting;

"GAK GAK GAK GAK GAK GAK, THE INCREDIBLE SQUISHABLE GAK!"
