Prologue
Past:
Princess Serenity Ophelia Richelle D'Luna glares at her mother even as the ringing of steel on steel can be heard, " This is all your fault. You're the one whom brought this war to our people and yet you refuse to take responsibility for it! My senshi are fighting hard to defend us and you just stand there. A true queen would fight with her people instead of hiding! "
" You are still a mere child, you know nothing of what a true ruler is needed for. " Queen Serenity Annette Melina D'Luna retorts.
Sapphire eyes glare at her defiantly and a Sailor Suit takes form, this was Full Moon Style. In her right hand was a white and silver scepter similar in style to her mother's, she wore a golden bodice and cape, the other three style didn't have the cape, her white skirt had a silver stripe around the bottom and above that a yellow stripe, her boots were silver in color with yellow edging at the top, her scarf had three silver stripes on it, her tiara was silver with a golden star in the center, her silver front bow had a golden star in the center of it, her white choker also had a golden star on it in the center of the front, the sleeves just covering the shoulders were yellow, the silver edging at the top of her white skirt also had a golden star where the edging met the skirt, her boots had golden upturned crescent moons where the yellow and silver met. On her buns were ruby red with white edging gems. Hard sapphire eyes meet the queen's one last time and Senshi Moon was gone to battle.
" Crescent Storm! "
" Hime! " comes the collective cry from Sailors Saturn, Psyche, Nike, Dike, Eos, Hesper, Nyx, Nemesis, and Jupiter.
" Everyone, we must stand tall, our queen has abandoned us to our fate because she had to bethrove me to Endymion. Even if we die we must defend our home with everything we have! " Senshi Moon calls out over the battlefield.
" You heard her! Fan out and defend our home! " this is said by a teen with short dark hair, wearing orange and wielding a bo staff. He is Prince Henry of Uranus.
" Understood, Prince Henry! "
" We will show our true might. " this is said by a teen with short brown hair, wearing the royal Saturnian armor, Prince Kazuto of Saturn, a wicked looking double bladed scythe in his hands.
A teen with short green hair speaks up next, wearing the royal armor of Mercury, a spear in his hands, Prince Kenta of Mercury, " Stay true to your convictions, even if we fall we must not let them take our honor from us! "
Another teen with short brown hair only his was spiky, with the hazard symbol on his back smirks as he comes to stand by Senshi Moon, holding a brandistock in his hands, blade retracted for the moment, " I may not be from this system but, I will help you all defend your home and princess. Take as many with you as you can! "
Another teen with gravity defying brown hair shakes his head, " Man, I can't go anywhere with you. " In his hands is a Poleaxe and he is the bodyguard for the wielder of the brandistock. His name is Ryo.
The teen wearing the hazard symbol sighs, " We won't live through this, you know that, right, Serenity? "
" Takato, I would rather die fighting by your side than sitting on the sidelines and watching while my people die. We will meet again, Takato, never doubt that. " Senshi Moon states, " Celestial Wave! "
" Hazard's Light! "
These two attacks crash against the entity known as Metalia, sending the massive shadowy form hurtling backwards. " Death Reborn Revolution! "
" Oak Evolution! "
" Justice Bind! "
" Soul Searing! "
" Dawn's Burning Embers! "
" Darkness Oblivion! " This allows Sailor Nyx to seize the darkness in an enemy's heart and suffocate them internally.
" Nemesis Adherence! " This attack allows Sailor Nemesis to turn enemy on enemy.
" Silence Wave! "
" Aqua Crusher! "
" Cyclonic Catastrophe! "
Ryo can be found slinging energy waves from his Poleaxe and slicing through whatever enemies got close to him. " HESPER RADIANCE! "
The sailor senshi in a green with golden eyes and short purple hair done up in twin braids screams out her attack as she is overrun, light blasting out in every direction from her in a half mile radius, killing every enemy within the blast radius. Senshi Moon curses internally even as she and Takato continue to deal with Metalia. " Why would the wielder of the Hazard help such a pitiful monarchy? "
" My reasons are my own, Metalia. " Takato snaps back, his crimson eyes glowing from the amount of power he was using.
Just then a wave of darkness rushes out in all directions joined by a wave of righteous anger. Senshi Moon silently mourns the loss of Nyx and Nemesis, " Heaven's Gate! "
Above the battlefield a large portal opens up sucking in several enemies, " We may not survive, Metalia but, we will take our pound of flesh from this fight! " Senshi Moon calls out.
" Soul Stinger! "
" Dawn Deviance! "
" Victory Variance! "
Prince Henry twirls his staff and snaps the necks of several of his opponents as his staff connects. Prince Kenta leaps up into the air, a wave of frozen water lashing out all around him. Prince Kai of Mars, a Kyudo practitioner unleashes wave after wave of flaming arrows upon those going after Prince Kenta. Prince Kazuto watches Prince Kai's back as well, " Thunder Dragon! "
" Aqua Mirage! "
" Love and Beauty Shock! "
" Celestial Fire Surround! "
" Deep Submerge! "
" Space Sword Blaster! "
Senshi Moon rolls her eyes, now the rest of her guardians show up, where the hell had they been? " Celestial Cage! "
" Hazard's Prison! "
Metalia is halted in her tracks as Psyche is impaled by Nephrite, Eos by Jadeite, Nike by Zoisite, and Dike by Kunzitite. Prince Kai falls to his sister as does Prince Henry and Prince Kenta. Prince Kazuto manages to deal with Uranus, Mercury, and Mars before Venus impales him with the Sword of Artemis. Ryo beheads her with his Poleaxe even as Sailor Sun cuts him up the middle with her halberd, her violet eyes blank. Senshi Moon can feel all these deaths and calls upon her Crystal only to have her eyes widen as Prince Endymion leaps up in front of her, sword raised to end her life.
Takato takes the blow for her, falling into her, " Now, my hime, end it! "
Sapphire eyes widen in horror as violet eyes come aware and Senshi Moon hears Sailor Sun's heart rending scream, she had been forced to kill her own lover. Male screams of anguish could be heard next from the Shittenou as they too came aware of what they had just done. Then Senshi Moon stiffens, " Saturn, send us all on to the next life so we can have another chance, onegai! "
Sailor Saturn hears the last words of her princess. Jupiter, Sun, and Neptune surround her, fighting to the very end so Saturn can do what she was bid. Violet, green, and blue eyes all widen as they see the Queen removing a sword from her daughter's body. The Shittenou all nod to each other, " We the Shittenou do pledge our allegiance to Princess Serenity Ophelia Richelle D'Luna and Prince Takato from this day forward in this and all future lives. " all four of them say together and they charge Prince Endymion.
Once only Saturn and the Queen are left the Senshi of Death, Rebirth, and Destruction chops the queen's head off and then uses her power to follow her hime's last command, her own life ending as well.
Present:
Tsukino Usagi barely stifles her sniffles as she packs up all her stuff and her best friend Osaka Naru looks at her, " You know we'll be safe, Usagi-chan. Mama's even happy you're finally going through with this. "
" I know, Naru-chan. I just can't keep living here anymore. I'm just glad you guys are moving and letting me come as well. I can't believe you're risking so much for me. " Usagi says, her once luscious long blonde hair had been sheared off and strewn around her room along with some blood that she'd had drawn, Tsukino Usagi was dying today and in her place would be Osaka Taiyō, Naru's cousin. They even had the documentation for everything ready.
Only Usagi's manga, jewelry, and collectibles were making the trip. Her make-up and clothes had already been donated to charity except for one outfit which had been sacrificed to make her death look good. Usagi had been born with a special talent, she could replicate anything, herself included and that was what she had done to pull all of this off. She only used her ability sparingly but, she could no longer stand to live the life she had been. Her best in school was never good enough and she rarely if ever got complimented. She was never good enough for them and it's not like she meant to be late to school all the time.
Two hours later the Osaka family, new cousin included have left and Tsukino Ikkuko walks in to find her daughter brutally murdered, her bloodcurdling scream alerted Shingo and Kenji to the fact that something was wrong just as they walk in from a bonding camping trip. Neither parent had done such trips with Usagi lately as they felt she shouldn't be rewarded for laziness. What they didn't know was that she had a medical reason for why her grades were so low. Usagi, or rather Taiyō had just been diagnosed with dyslexia, ADHD, and dyscalculia which made math that much harder. Mayumi was already lining up the proper tutoring for her niece.
" Ikkuko! "
" Kaa-san! "
Kenji and Shingo both race upstairs, not bothering to take their shoes off and their eyes widen in horror, " Nee-chan? " Shingo says uncertainly, unwilling to believe his big sister was actually dead. Faced with the loss of their daughter Ikkuko and Kenji finally realized how they had been treating her. This slapped them with the reality that their daughter may have died thinking they hated her.
Chapter One
Taiyō smiles as she walks along Shinjuku's streets, her tutor had given her the day off, saying she had made remarkable progress once she was being taught in the correct way. She was at her age group's level now and the tutor was turning in her work to the school she would be attending. Thankfully she and Naru would not be attending the hoity toity girls' school in the area. They would be going to the pubic middle school and were in the same class. School didn't resume until two weeks from then. This gave Taiyō time to acclimate to the area and get a whole new wardrobe.
She and Naru had worked out a deal with Mayumi where they would wear her jewelry as free advertising and hand out business cards if asked where they got it. Mayumi had also pierced Usagi's ears free of charge and had given her alexandrite studs, her birthstone. Mayumi had to admit she had never thought of letting her daughter wear her jewelry as free advertising. The auburn haired thirteen year old hums happily as she skips along. She had only recently gotten into the digimon card game. She currently played at rec centers and the like to learn and hone her skills. Her favorite by far was BlackGatomon. She had every level for her favorite digimon, and had almost worked out the kinks in her deck.
Her deck was based almost entirely upon virus types and the support cards necessary for that kind of deck. She had the right energy cards, healing cards, she just needed to get the right supporting digimon cards. Mayumi had authorized her to be able to use her credit card in order to get a new wardrobe. It had been discovered the Taiyō or rather Usagi had a very good head for budgeting. Taiyō was to get new bed clothes, clothes for herself, in other words give herself a makeover. Taiyō had no problem with this as she had hated all that damn pink she had been forced to wear. Taiyō pauses as something catches her attention out of the corner of her eye. She turns fully to look at it and her mind freezes. That had been destroyed back then, hadn't it?
In front of her was a pendant with the symbol of the lunar royal family upon it, written in Latin around it was ' May the hazard always protect the Moon's lovely light', the writing was in white gold while the pendant itself was made out of platinum, the moon was made of regular gold naturally, and it hung on a silver chain with preservation and repair spells overlaid on the entire pendant. It had been a gift from the one person that she had truly loved back then. She hated Endymion but, she'd had no choice. She'd had to accept his courtship even though her heart and soul belonged to another. Her mother had refused to let her decline having decided they needed the alliance with the Earth. She'd argued with her mother privately but, had lost. If Beryl had just waited she would have been able to challenge her mother for the throne.
Taiyō was quick to go in and ask for the price. Internally she winces but gladly pays for the pendant. She'd sent several people to OSA-P since she'd been wandering. Hopefully that would cover the costs relatively quickly. Taiyō was also good at selling the wares at OSA-P, she'd made several big ticket sales recently as well. The auburn haired, blue eyed girl was quick to move on though she did pick up feminine hygiene products and undergarments along with a few swim suits, sneakers, dress flats, and a few running outfits along with some clothes for the interim. She tosses everything into her subspace pocket and continues on, just exploring. Naru wanted to come with her to do the major shopping. She did get some sheet sets though and some more pillows.
Her room had been painted a deep purple with silver stars throughout. Though Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto were painted in their respective colors. She hoped they would all be able to get along. She'd always had problems with Mars. She'd asked Mayumi about martial arts and glaive lessons, her aunt had agreed to pay for them as long as Taiyō also took a traditional girls lesson. Taiyō had decided upon flute lessons, with that her extra courses had been set.
Taiyō sighs wearily, she didn't want to remember, though she would like to know where the hell the memories of her being happy with Endymion came from. She had never liked him and if she had her way she would never see him again. Hopefully her senshi would understand this, if not, well then, she would have to find new guardian senshi. Her nose picks up the scent of Cinnamon bread just then and she follows it to a bakery, not knowing that she would just miss the son of the owners. Not knowing her true prince just happened to be their son. She buys five loaves, some red velvet cupcakes, and a cinnamon roll with sugar icing and not maple icing on it.
Matsuki Takato blinks as he watches a girl wearing a purple t-shirt with rhinestones acting as stars, black jeans, and purple knee height boots leave his family's bakery, why did she seem so familiar to him? He was certain he'd never seen her before in his life. She must be new in the neighborhood, maybe he'd see her again and possibly figure out why she felt so familiar to him. He traces her path for a little while before going inside to help his parents, he just knew he'd see her again, especially if she ended up liking what she had bought from his parents. He just hoped he could meet her instead of just getting glimpses of her instead.
He places his hands inside his blue hoody's pocket and muses on that familiar feeling. It was the same feeling he woke up with at times after dreams he couldn't remember. He knew he should remember his dreams, they were always so vivid as well. He always woke up from them with his heart racing and adrenaline pumping like he had been in a fight and his hands always were held like they were gripping a spear or something similar. He just didn't understand why all of this was happening to him now.
