I came here for a reason...obviously.
I don't know how to start this but...I wanted to say...
...sorry.
And ask for your forgiveness.

You must be thinking 'Why?'. It's because...I never really cared to show you the truth in me.
I lied.
I'm such a liar. I never told or even showed you how I feel.
I had a clue.
But I never really cared about it. From the day we met, ever since the No. 1 Reactor blew, I had a hint that you would play an important role in my life.
And you did.
I was right. Then when we became companions to pursue Sephiroth, I had a hint that you'd be someone special...no, very special to me. You have a space in my life.
And I was right.
When Sephiroth killed you, only then did I realized...
...that I love you.
I'm such a young fool, Aeris. Please...
...forgive me.*
After his speech, Cloud kissed a well grown rose. It was the rose he bought from her and gave to Marlene. Marlene gave it back to him upon knowing Aeris' death.

"I thought I should give it back to you, Uncle Cloud. So here, take it." Marlen took his hands and made him hold the flower.
Cloud smiled upon taking it. "Thanks." He said with a small smile. *It means a lot to me.*

But now Cloud realized that the reason why Marlene gave it to him was for him to give it to Aeris. Not for his own keeping. He still has Aeris' memories anyway.
In his mind.
Looking at the water, Cloud tossed the flower and watched it float on the surface tension and slowly sink as if Aeris was reaching for it.
*Good bye, Aeris. Wait for me.*

NOTE: Uh...no. Cloud's not gonna commit suicide in a second part. (I don't even plan on doing one.) Well, let's just say I was lucky the day I got this idea. BTW, I had to make the text a different font and bigger in order not to look...empty...or something like that. Anyway, hope you enjoyed it! :)
