ANBU Homecoming
"Mom?" a voice somewhat whined from within the Hokage tower. The voice whined somewhat yet again but getting the same response; only aggravated the young child again so he tried again. "What is it Sarutobi can't you see that I am busy!?" Sarada Uzumaki shouted looking up from a scroll to look at her son. After a few minutes Sarutobi said looking down at the floor do you think dad will be home in time to see me become a genin?" Sarada could hear the sadness in her son's voice just like her son she to missed her husband Boruto. Sarada's husband had a pretty dangerous job protecting the hokage who was his wife and of course his son; as well as the faith of the village weighed squarely on his shoulders.
Meanwhile somewhere in the forest a young man with a raven mask on; was leaping from tree to tree never taking a moment's rest.A million thoughts were running through Boruto's mind. Although Boruto could hear Mitsuki say something it was probably something like slow down or something like that . He certainly didn't want to upset his son Sarutobi by not being their when he became a genin. But Boruto however couldn't care less nobody was going to stop him in his personal mission; not his ANBU team or Mitsuki and that only made Boruto quicken his pace even more in order to be home for something special.
The day had finally arrived the day Sarutobi Uzumaki became a genin. Looking around the room Sarutobi spotted his mom who smiled at him lightly. Sarada Uzumaki took sometime out of her busy schedule to see her son become a genin. Sarutobi then looked around for his dad but didn't see him this caused the young genin to be sigh deeply as he slumped in his seat. Deep down however Sarada hoped that her husband Boruto would be able to make it as well; because it would just made Sarutobi's day. Sarada was snapped out of her thoughts by Shino calling out Sarutobi Uzumaki's and someone pinching her backside that alone caused to her jump.
Sarada only had seconds to glimpse off to her side and see a rather familiar raven mask out of the corner of her eye. Who quickly went to hide within the shadows so he wouldn't be seen and it wouldn't ruin the element of surprise. Both parents then watched as their son performed the hand signs for making a shadow clone; and held their breath in anticipation for the results. The whole room erupted into applause because Sarutobi was successfully able to make a shadow clone. Soon after receiving his head band Sarutobi raced into the back of the room; to show his new headband to his mother. Sarada could tell he was overjoyed at what he had overcome and what he had accomplished.
But deep down Sarada could tell that he was still sad about his "father" not showing up; deciding to play along Sarada asked "What's wrong Sarutobi aren't you happy about you accomplished?" "Yeah mom I am it's just that" Sarutobi started to say shuffling his feet and look a the ground. "It's just what honey?" Sarada gently prodded her son. Looking at his mother with a sad face Sarutobi said almost shouting "Dad said he'd come but he didn't so he lied!" Before Sarutobi could rant on any further a new voice entered the fray and said "Oh but I did come as promised and saw the whole thing." As silence engulfed the academy everyone including Sarutobi saw a figure with a raven mask step out from the shadows. Boruto watched as his son's face lit up like a child on christmas. "Dad!" Sarutobi shouted running to hug his father around the waist; before saying "You actually made it I thought you wouldn't." Removing his raven mask Boruto looked at his son and said "I wouldn't miss this moment for the world and that was the very truth."
