They have to keep moving.
There's a sort of twisted humor in the fact that he, who got shot in the leg not too long ago, is forcing his physically able brother to walk beside him. He can't even get him to do that, he had to drag him away when Chii-nee disappeared--
Don't think about Chii-nee. Don't think about Houka-neechan or Makito-niichan. Just... keep moving.
Chii-nii makes a sound that's not quite loud enough to be a sob, head slumping against his shoulder. He wants to think that's a good sign, but can't be sure. He's thrilled beyond belief that he's doing something that's not letting himself be dragged off, even if it is just crying, but this... this isn't Chii-nii. Chii-nii wouldn't be sobbing on his shoulder. Chii-nii wouldn't scream like a lost soul, hands over his head in a vain attempt to block out something only he could hear. Chii-nii would tell him they'd definitely find a way to bring their older siblings back and that he already had a plan, so listen and don't screw it up.
He wants to stop, to tell Chii-nii it'll be okay because he's not leaving him, that he'll always be here for his friend, his big brother. But there's no time for that now.
Because they have to keep moving.
