I stare at her there, lying by the edge of the couch, on my legs, sleeping. I never thought in a million years that watching someone sleep could be so intoxicating and beautiful and a dozen other feelings that I am experiencing at this moment.

God she is so beautiful, the way her hair frames her mouth and her nose and her gorgeous eyes, shes a painting, a masterpiece.

If you had asked me a month ago what love was, I would have laughed in your face: love? Isn't that Cinderella stories and unrealistic movies? The subject of love was a you'll-experience-when-your-older type of thing. Something that I thought would happen in the distant future, perhaps in college probably with a popular jock and we would move to the country and live happily ever after. Now, I cant imagine my future without her there with me.

I've gotten past the girl thing, that doesn't even register in my head anymore, when I'm with Katie, there is nothing else but her, this amazing being who surpasses all other options, the entire universe spins around me and the only thing that I know is real is her before me, in all her exuberance.

Sometimes, my mind wanders to where I might be without her here. Probably where my mom is, feeling alone, drowning in depression. I loathe the impossible notion that Katie could be anywhere but with me.
