50/50 Dictionary Challenge, Number Four: Onomatopoeia
This one is short. It isn't my favourite either... I might rewrite it later, 'cause I think it's VERY poorly written. I just couldn't seem to get my idea on the paper quite how I wanted it.
Onomatopoeia
When Tifa punched, it almost always made some sort of "Craaack!"
When I threw my Conformer, it made a "Swoosh!" as it sliced the air.
But… I wondered, What sound does a Vincent make?
Well… His gun makes a "Click…. BAM!" and his boots made an unnerving "Clink, clink, clink, clink…"- the sound of metal on floor or terrain. But those are just things he wears… or fights with…
…But does Vinnie really make a sound? All his own?
…Like… A signature sound.
Tifa made a Craaack! And I made a Whoosh! And Vinnie made a…
… A nothing.
And it was my favourite sound.
Silence. (It must've been.)
In the whole, big, wide world.
I think I might try it sometime.
So….. What's the verdict? Did you like it? Ooooor do I get to just chuck it into the NEVER-TO-BE-READ-AGAIN-BECAUSE-IT'S-SO-TERRIBLE bin? As I said, I might rewrite it later. Reviews get cookies! (flavour of choice)
