A/N: This fanfic takes place during the events of The Best Lazy Day Ever. And yes, that episode aired BEFORE Isabella and the Temple of Sap.
Isabella sighed. Since Phineas and Ferb were having a 'Do Nothing Day', she and the rest of The Fireside Girls weren't sure what they should do today.
That is, until Ginger made a crazy suggestion. "We should go see what Baljeet's doing," the young Fireside Girl said.
"I'm in," Adyson said. "It's better than sitting here and not doing anything."
"I guess it can work," Isabella said. "I mean, what's the worse that can happen?"
Over at Baljeet's house, The Fireside Girls saw him in the backyard with several charts and a microscope.
"Hey Baljeet," Ginger said. "What are you up to today?"
"Just working on my insect studies for summer school," Baljeet replied. "I could use some help."
"Well, me and The Fireside Girls need to work on our Insect Studies Patch," Ginger said. "What do you want us to do?"
"Keep track of any insects you see," Baljeet said as he gave Ginger a magnifying glass, a notepad, and a pencil. "And if possible, use this notepad for sketches."
As Ginger happily helped Baljeet, the rest of The Fireside Girls looked at each other in annoyance.
"Maybe coming here wasn't the best idea after all," Adyson said.
"Agreed," Isabella replied. "And the next time Phineas and Ferb have another 'Do Nothing Day', we're going to work on a patch by ourselves."
