Chapter 1

"Luci wait!" The two Archangels called out halting their older brother. They were tired and as he hovered mid air to wait for them he chuckled at their efforts. Both were flapping frantically trying desperately to keep airborne long enough to catch up to him. As they drew closer he slowly started sinking to the ground so that they would hopefully follow his example. They saw him sinking and adjusted their course so that they would land on the ground in front of him.

As he sat lazily on the soft grass of an alcove of heaven his youngest brother Gabriel collapsed to the ground next to him and spalled out on his back, wings spread to either side. His little sister Rastaiel only seconds later decided to land more gracefully then her brother, curled her wings around her and dropped. Only seconds before she hit the ground did she unfurl her wings and sit cross legged in the grass in front of Lucifer a small smile on her face and her wings behind her.

It was one of the rare occasions he actually got to see his youngest siblings and he cherished moments like this. It was meant to be Raphael who took them out and taught them about flying, the world and the duties of Archangels but like himself and Michael, Raphael had very little time. So they each took turns looking after these two whenever they could. Otherwise Joshua took them and taught them about plants and agriculture etc.

"Luci are you ok?" Rasa said softly in her airy, gentle voice as she picked up on his wandering thoughts and the twinge of regret he felt.

"Of course Rasa I'm fine, just thinking." Gabriel had sat up when his sister spoke, alert and worried but his grace relaxed as he figured that his worry was unneeded. His sister however peered at Lucifer curiously as her keenly attuned grace still picked up his turmoil. Thankfully she let it go and decided to tackle him instead. As they collapsed to the ground she whispered in his ear, "I know you're not, but I love you." He smiled as her grace became overly cheerful in an attempt to hide his feelings from Gabe who was still lounging next to them watching the clouds of this part of heaven.

The moment was interrupted when Raphael appeared in the sky above them. Gabe who spotted him first was on his feet in seconds and running to hug the new arrival as soon as his feet touched the ground.

"Hey Gabe. Lucifer, Michael says you're needed on earth." Raphael let go of his younger brother before helping his older brother up.

"Right … Should probably see what's up then hey." It wasn't a question and every one of them knew it. "Damn hairless apes." He thought as he walked away and he swore he heard Rastaiel gasp.
