Chapter 1
HEDWIGS LONGEST JOURNEY
It was almost Harry's birthday and he wanted an actual birthday celebration. So he took out some parchment that he had under his bed and started writing letters to his friends like Ron, Hermione, Neville, Cho Chang, Ginny, Fred and George. Then he thought of his rival, Draco Malfoy and believe it or not he wanted to invite him too. The reason why? Because he and harry had teamed up just one year before to get the rare artifact known as the Green Flame Torch. After thinking for a moment he started writing letter to Malfoy. Then he got some string from under his bed and tied up the letters. He gave the letters to his pet owl Hedwig and said "ok hedwig go deliver these to my friends ok? Hedwig gave a loud 'Hoot' and flew out the window to deliver the first 4 letters to the Weasleys.
About six hours later she arrived at Ron, Ginny, Fred, and George's house. Ron saw Hedwig, took the letters and said "you must be tired, here have some of my owl's food"! hedwig ate it and gave a 'hoot' of thankfulness and was on her way. The next house to deliver to was just 3 blocks away from Ron's house. When hedwig got there at Cho's house, she delivered the letter. Cho said thanks, gave hedwig some water and a hug then Hedwig was on her way to Neville's house. 2 hours later hedwig arrived at Neville's house, but Neville was no where to be seen. All hedwig saw was Nevilles nasty old grandmother. She Quickly dropped the letter on the grandmothers lap and flew as fast as she could away from the old lady.
Now she had to fly another couple miles before she got to Hermione's home. Once she was there she clicked her beak on Hermiones bedroom window. Hermione came and opened the window. Hedwig gave her the letter. Hermione said "stay here for a while hedwig" so hedwig did. After about an hour Hermione's parents called her for lunch. Hermione walked out of the room saying "stay there hedwig". Hermione's mom said "who are you talking to"? "ummm Crookshanks" hermione answered. "but crookshanks is sleeping on the couch her" dad said. They walked into Hermiones room and said "oh, hello Hedwig"! that shocked Hermione because she never knew her parents knew about hedwig. Hedwig gave a hoot and left. She was on her to deliver the last letter. To Draco Malfoy.
Once she got to the neighbor hood she had to find the exact house. She didn't want to deliver the letter to a muggle's house. She instantly knew the house for it had a huge garden in the shape of a silver and green snake. Anyways, once she found Malfoy's room(the one with the Slytherin robes hanging on a little coat hanger) she pecked the window open and dropped the letter into the dark old room and started to make her 48 hour journey back to Harry.
About 24 hours into the fly home, Hedwig heard some hooting behind her it was Errol, and Pidhedgeon. The 2 Weasley owls! They were carrying a large parcel and a few letters. Hedwig could tell the 2 owls were tiered so she helped the with the parcel.
After about 22 hours the owls arrived at #4 privet drive. Harry's house. Hedwig dropped the parcel on the bed and flew to her cage.
