Disclaimer: Y-You think I- burst into mad fits of laughter how could I ever own Maximum Ride! Riotworthy! Besides, if I did, The whitecoats would all kill each other, and Max would no longer have to be in charge. Oh and Fax would be more than hinted in canon, it WOULD BE canon. sigh I'm going to go takeover the world now, maybe with Maliks help.
She was Angel.
A little smarter than everyone.
And I was Gazzy,we looked alike but we weren't related.
Everyday my friends played a game.
They called it 'Making Angel Cry'
It was easy and fun.
I joined in, seeing no harm.
I could hear my mothers word of the golden rule, and being kind to everyone in the back of my mind.
Crystal tears pour down her cheeks.
Our game is through for the day.
And now I limp down the hallway, praying my friends won't make fun.
I've been away for a month.
My bike collided with a car.
And now I have a scar across my face.
AS I enter the room,
I can't help but smile.
I see a banner that says 'Welcome Back!' and all the red ballons.
My friends surround me, and we begin to talk.
And then comes recess,
my most favorite time of all.
We can play our games of choice
kickball and 'Making Angel Cry'
And as we step outside,
all the boys I call my friends turn and face me.
"Hey freak!" shouts Ari, the oldest and biggest.
I turn, and expect to see Angel.
No ones there.
"Where did you get that mask!? Halloweens over!" shouts another as I turn back around.
They must have been talking of the scar across my face.
The insult just keep coming.
But I hold in my tears.
If they see me cry, they'll label me a wimp.
But I know the game won't end until I give in.
Just as tears begin to well up,
I hear a voice from behind me.
"Hey! Leave him alone! He's my friend!"
I turn to see Angel.
Standing with her hands on her hips.
Gladly defending one of her personal tormentors.
Willingly taking my place.
All the boys and girls go stiff.
Ari scoffs and insults Angel about being stupid.
The oldest of the girls,
Max, I think,
offers to play with us.
Another girl and two boys step up as well.
The rest that are left, follow Ari.
They are still mean to us, but we still together.
And everyday, you'll see six children playing kickball and laughing.
But no longer playing 'Making Angel Cry'
For we take it together, Max never standing anyone to pick on the younger kids.
She was as old as Fang and Iggy.
Iggy was made fun of for being blind,
and so he was glad to be accepted.
Fang had been abused, and therefore was marked useless.
So he became anti-social.
Nudge tried to hard to fit in.
And so she stuck out.
You know Angel and my story.
But we found each other.
At least its longer.
Don't be racist. Hit the burron regardless of colors.
