Summary: We all know skull kid has had a rough life, or many lives, even though all he ever wanted to do was play. Well, in this poem I've decided it will be a message to Link from skull kid talking about memories and wishes starting from the end of Ocarina of Time, to Majora's Mask, carrying on to the first time Link would encounter skull kid in Twilight Princess. Either way, this is what my sleep idled mind came up with. I hope you enjoy it!

Skull Kid's Message

There are people here who call me a trickster

And others that call me a lost broken child

But in both stories it will always end

With tales of my mind running wild

So as I play a Melody on my flute to drag you further in

Will you listen to your people's warnings

Or will you remember your promise to be my friend

Oh Hero, I wish you knew what I know

As for many lives I've watched you come and go

You're stuck in a loop of a big adventure, boredom, and death

Only living your life to protect the kingdom till your final breath

Does it ever get tiring, does it ever grow old

Do you ever feel tempted to run and break the mold

I wish it were so, as some of the trees that I pass

Give reminders to memories I wish could've last

However, here I sit, stuck in the Lost Woods of Faron

Despite how many Kokiri pass, constantly wandering as children

Until, one day, after exploring with Tatl and Tael for a while

Here walked a man, with a bag full of faces and a quite large smile

Now, of course I messed with him, could you blame me, I was curious

But when I finally snagged a face, I remember becoming furious

I was furious you didn't remember, that you didn't know you forgot

So when I saw a chance to have fun with you, I went ahead and took a shot

After all, you still smelt like the fairy boy who taught me that song in the woods

I was sure the way I was, I would be able to win, I didn't think you could

But in the end, that's over and done with

There's nothing more in this forest that's amiss

The Grove of trees is still sacred, just like before

And when the tree leaves rustle, they still sound like a roar

So once again, I sit in my spot, playing that funny song

That you had managed to play for me, before everything went wrong

And in this new life of yours, you now tiptoe around wood that's rotten

Nevermind having time to think of strangers you've met and forgotten

Don't forget about the loved ones, that you've also had to cast away

So now as you near, I'll ask you one final time, do you wish to play?

Author's Note: I'm thinking of making both Twilight Link's and Michael poems and adding them to this one but I'm not quite sure yet. Either way, it might happen. I also didn't really intend to write Skull Kids poem last night but I just had inspiration for it instead of TP Link's poem all a sudden. Anyways, I didn't have much to say. I hope you liked it! Thank you for reading!
