Christmas was coming soon. All through Angel Grove, it was peaceful, but for some, it wasn't.
"C'mon Tommy, you got to smile, honey," Tommy's mother teasing as she attempted to get her youngest son Tommy to smile.
"Nothing's going to change this smile, Mom," Tommy frowned, "Nothing."
"Just this one, for your dad and I, please?" His mother pleaded.
"Fine," Tommy smiled shyly. "Cheese."
"That's better," His mother smiled back, "I knew something would get you smiling."
Meanwhile, Kimberly was in Florida with some friends on a holiday outing.
"So, is everyone ready for the holidays?" Tara, a teammate of Kim's asked.
Several responded 'yeah,' but not Kimberly.
"What's the matter Hart, cat got your tongue?" Tara teased.
"No, I just miss California, that's all." Kimberly looked down, "I just miss him.
"Oh cheer up, Hart, you'll be alright." Lindsay, another teammate insisted.
"It's that, I just want to be there for Christmas. It's our first Christmas without each other," Kim responded.
"I see," said Tara, "So, who is this he?" She asked.
"His name is Tommy Oliver," Kim answered, "He's wonderful, sweet, caring, and...I just miss him."
A big 'awe' filled the room.
Back in Angel Grove, some of Tommy's friends had already arrived to attend the Oliver's' Christmas party whereas Tommy sat on his stairs watching people laughing and joking around.
Rocky and Adam caught up by talking about karate schools whereas Jason and his two cousins had chased Zack around the patio after a joke Zack had mentioned about one of Jason's cousins finding her really attractive.
"Tommy, what's the matter?" Aisha sat next to him.
"Its nothing Aisha, I just wish this Christmas was better." Tommy sulked.
"Oh, you miss Kimberly, don't you?" Aisha asked
Tommy nodded and fiddled with his cup which was filled with soda minutes before. Tommy let out a big sigh whereas Aisha gave him a hug and they continued to talk.
"It's that, she's not here," Tommy soft spoke, "She's not here with me."
Days later a card came in the mail.
"Dear Tommy,
Merry Christmas, baby. I miss you so much. Things here in Florida have been alright. My teammates and I hung out this past week. We were talking about Christmas, and I mentioned you. Tommy, I miss you so much. I wish you were here in Florida, but you're there saving our world.
How is everyone? Your Mom, Dad? David? Everyone else. I heard from Aisha that the holiday party at your place was wonderful. I wish I was there. It would be like good times again.
Well, baby, I hate to cut this short. Got to get ready. The girls and I are going out again, maybe. I miss you.
Love Always,
Kimberly

P.S. Enclosed is a picture of me recently."
Tommy digged into the envelope. There was a picture of Kimberly. She had still the same brown locks but with little highlight from her previous attempts to dye it. The picture made him smile.
"I wish you were here too, Beautiful," Tommy smiling to himself, "I really do."
Her outfit adorned a pink top and jeans that she wore in the picture. Things never changed, especially since her departure from Angel Grove.
"P.S. #2 -- Look outside, there's a present awaiting you," Tommy continued to read.
Tommy looked out the door.
"I knew I had to try something different," Kimberly smiled with a glow in her eyes.
Tommy raced up and hugged her.
"You're my Christmas wish, Kimberly," Tommy smiled and hugged.
"And you are mine too," Kim smiled back returning the hug, "I've missed flying with you."
The two kissed for the first time in so many months.
"Ahem," a female voice spoke behind them.
"Mom," Tommy blushed. "Sorry, Kim would you like to come in?"
Kim nodded and went inside.
The three spoke for hours - talking about Angel Grove's changes, life in Florida, and so on. This was one Christmas Tommy would not forget.
