3rd POV
It was District 9. Any other ones beyond this would have been blown up. The only reason Katniss and Peeta were able to switch was because the Capital kept them alive for the next Quarter Quell.
Eriell stood small behind her sister as the reaping began. The grim fell upon every ones faces as the first male tribute was called. Effie stood with an electric green wig secured tightly on her head.
"Tribute One, Jackyle Larson" Peeta called standing tall on stage with Katniss wrapped around him. The boy next to her walked up on stage. His dark ebony hair swayed as he held back to tears which had blinded his piercing green eyes. His mother fell to her knees as his father caught her. Effie looked at Peeta. Peeta backed away from the names.
"Not my son" said Jackyle's mother who mourned for her boy.
The crowd stayed quiet and waited for Effie to pick the girl tribute. Katniss and Peeta smirked at each other. Peeta kissed her check. Katniss held her stomach as the baby kicked. Peeta had smiled. Instead of watching the games Katniss, Him, and Eriell, his daughter, would be delivering there new boy. Effie walked up to the names, she picked out a name.
"Tribute two is" She stopped. Her eyes widened her throat began close up she didn't know what to say.
"Tribute two is Eriell Mellark" The crowd looked at everyone around them. Katniss looked at her daughter. The tears rolled down her face uncontrollably. Peeta looked at his daughter and then to his wife. Eriell was looking around at everyone. She didn't know how to feel. Glad, Sad, Mad, or Sorrowful. She was only 14 and she knew sooner or later it would be her.
"Please, Eriell come up to the stage" Effie said. Eriell did as she was told. She began to cry. Her mother fought to get to her daughter, but Peeta had held her back. Even though, it would be her last. The rules had changed ever since Peeta and Katniss had played. The tributes would go home, sleep for the night and then get on the tour train. There was only four tributes would stay. Then they would be named Champions. They would then move on to the Quarter. It was like the Quarter Quall. Only, two people would live on.
"Jackyle and Eriell will be our Tributes for this year's Hunger Games" Effie said and walked off stage. Jackyle had gone to his parents, and Eriell had stood on stage life a lifeless doll. Her mother and father rushed to her side and said "Eriell, you'll be okay, I promise" the end was more like a whisper to her. She blocked out everything. Her parents took her by the hand, pulled her, and said "Sweetie, Let's go"
All they knew was she was a twig and defenseless.
