Mother's Day
Sunday, May 13- Ed had the date marked with a black dot on his calendar. Such a cruel reminder of what was stolen from him, of his arrogance, and his failure. Mother's Day. What was usually a completely innocuous day of family togetherness and joy was a lonely day of sadness and mourning for Ed. Even the traditional white lilies people gave to their mothers served as cruel mementos – most mothers got to enjoy their flowers, while Ed's mother's sat forlornly in a pot next to Trisha Elric's deserted tombstone.
"I'm sorry, Mom," said Ed. "I'm sorry it's like this."
