Coughs could be heard through out the apartment.
Virginia and Wolf had been back in Manhattan for several weeks now.
Virginia had slowly begun to swell with their first child. Wolf couldn't be happier. But now Virginia was sick.
She couldn't breathe, she had a what she called a runny nose, and would either sneeze or cough every few minutes.
Wolf had no idea what to do. He actually wished his bumbling father-in-law, Tony, was around. Tony could actually help Wolf with this.
Virginia told Wolf that she was sick, she had a cold.
Wolf had never had a cold before. Colds didn't happen in the Nine Kingdoms, but here in the Tenth Kingdom everyone got them. At least that's what Virginia said.
And now she wanted Chicken Noodle Soup. Wolf figured he could get her the chicken easily, he was a wolf after all. But make it into a soup? Why would anyone want to eat it that way when it was so much better raw?
Wolf shook his head and headed out the door. Virginia said the store had it. So Wolf would just go to the grocery store and ask.
Hopefully the cashier could tell him why anyone want to eat chicken in a soup and not just raw.
Wolf shook his head, this tenth kingdom was just more interesting every day.
