New story

Before this apocalypse, Tom Rando actually really liked the snow. Now he didn't like it as much, he still liked snow. Until his first experience of it trying to kill him. Tom walked through the snowy plains. Looking around, he need to find some shelter before he froze. The thing about him freezing, before he headed out to get better shelter, snow hadn't came out yet. It was very sunny before the apocalypse struck, so he packed a frame-pack full of t-shirts and shorts. The warmest thing he had was a slightly over-sized hockey jersey for the Boston Bruins and a pair of jeans. Tom continued looking around, he spotted some train tracks and an abandoned train car. He ran towards it and opened the door, walking in. He shook the snow packed on his jeans off and looked around. He was pleasantly surprised by how big the train car was, but that wasn't the real treat. He ran into the kitchenette and started opening cupboards. Jackpot. Tom thought, looking at the Spas-12 in the cupboard. He pulled it out and looked at it. There was five slugs already in it, with ten more in the cupboard. He put the Spas-12 on the counter and kept looking, he found a coffee maker, some hot cocoa packets, a bag of marbles, a match-box, a ton of food and water, and a M1911 with two mags. He pocketed the M1911 and kept looking around the the train car. He didn't find much except for a TV in front of the couch. I could stay here for months! Tom thought, he looked out the window. No signs of life anywhere. He sat down on the couch and stood back up, an empty journal sat on the couch. He picked it up and opened it, a pencil fell out of the journal. He picked up the pencil and started writing.
