A/N: Well, this here is my second one-shot and my third story. Originally chapter 2 to "Engulfed In Darkness," I think each story stands better alone. Please read and review!
Ginny woke up in a white hospital bed. Her head was throbbing, like her brain was trying to bash it's way of her skull. "Fuck…" she said, rubbing her forehead. She closed her eyes tightly, hoping the pain would pass. " 'bout time you woke, Gin. You'd been talking in your sleep for hours."
"What?"
"I said you had been talking in your sleep. Did you have a bad dream?"
"I guess…" Ginny lied.
It wasn't a dream. Nightmare more like.
Her head throbbed again, "Ah!" she gasped, holding her forehead.
"What the hell happened to me?"
"It's been almost four weeks since that attack on Hogsmade, Gin. You were hit by an Unforgivable. We thought they'd broke you."
Ginny rolled over to face Harry. "Hogsmade?"
"Yeah…do you not remember?"
Ginny closed her eyes, deep in thought. "We…had…a date?
"Our one year anniversary"
Ginny's face lit up. "Now I remember."
Harry tucked some of Ginny's hair behind her ear. Ginny's eyes bulged as she tried to sit upright. "SHIT! That's a bother…Harry, what abou—"
"They're fine."
Ginny's face relaxed. "And you? Are you feeling okay?"
"Nothing the 'Great Harry Potter' couldn't handle," Harry teased.
"Oh come of it." said Ginny, jokingly slapping his knee.
"We all fine, Ginny…we're just worried about you. Are you feeling okay?"
"I'm fine, Harry…REALLY." She added, seeing the skeptical look on his face. "So you don't have to stay here again tonight. Go back to Ron and Hermione. I may be here for a while…"
"Uh…yeah…I may have forgot to mention something earlier, Gin…"
"Like what?"
"Well…you see Gin…"
"Yes!" Ginny was quickly loosing her patience.
"I don't want you to feel bad or anything…I stayed here because I wanted to. I know how much it meant to you and all…" Harry was doing everything in his power to avoid those beautiful brown eyes.
"HARRY IF THE SUSPENSE DOESN'T KILL ME MY ELEVATED BLOOD PRESSURE WILL! NOW SPIT IT OUT!"
Harry gave a small chuckle. She was so cute when she was angry. "Gin…I'm sorry, but our graduation was two days ago."
Ginny almost wished that her elevated blood pressure HAD killed her. Ginny had almost tripled her work load this year so she could graduate with Harry (with the help of one of Minevra's time-turners, of course). She had decided after Harry's proposal over the past summer that a year without him would be hell on earth, so she did all in her power to make sure that when graduation day came, she and Harry would walk across the stage as a couple. It would have been the perfect way to start their new life together.
"Don't worry, Gin" consoled Harry, noticing the look on her face, "you still get to graduate. Your N.E.W.T.S. were so high that you were second only to Hermione."
Harry looked into those beautiful chocolate eyes once more. "I'm so proud of you, Ginny." Harry leaned in and gave Ginny a soft kiss. Ginny's smile stretched from one corner of her face to the other.
"Harry," Ginny said, grabbing his arm, "I've changed my mind." She playfully pulled him down beside her. "I want you to stay."
Harry kissed Ginny on her neck, and wrapped his arms around her frail waist.
"I know."
"I'll stay here as long as you want."
Ginny rested her head on Harry's chest, fitting her head comfortably under his chin.
"I know.
So...whatcha think? Good? Bad? Ugly? REVIEW! (Especially if it's one of the latter two...CRITIQUES are always welcome).
