"Take revenge on those who spit on you; they're gonna die anyways."
I still remember that day.. who could forget it? Screams, shouts, sobs, laughter.. all wrenched together. In detail I remember the things she did, and all through it that maniacal grin remained twitching on her features, lighting the beautiful yet dangerous girl darkly. Her hands; rough, calloused, ready to use at will. Her laughter still resounds in my head, bringing up the memories of horrific expense. I could only wonder why; though, I had known the answer. I just didn't want to.. Did you remember what she'd said that day, I wonder? Did you remember the words before she found you, too? I hope so. Maybe then you'd have a bit of understanding for her. Maybe. I have some sympathy for her; but you didn't deserve that. Anyone but you..
Do you know why she did all of that? It's because when she was little, something terrible happened. She had a brother; one she'd loved dearly, at that. They hated her for what she was.. and he. They captured them, starved them, but kept her eating a little. She had to watch as, with their hands and some kunai, they tore him limb from limb. Blood spilled from him as she screamed, the cerise liquid dripping onto the stones and scraping onto the walls. They peeled his skin after they tore him into seperate pieces, and fried each one and ate him. By then, her tears were dry as she bowed her head, realizing they'd do the same to her. The demons were not ones to be dealt with, she knew, but she had to be tainted.. she shouted at them; terrible, forbidden words, even to the demons.
Eyes glowing red, she broke the chains and pounced on one of the large demons, tearing at him with her weapons until all that was left of his flesh was a small part of his chest. The other parts she'd cut tiny and shoved into her mouth. After that, the other demons obeyed and served her. She was now a Dark, terrible Angel.. 'Kipui' they called her, demon for Master, or Boss. After that... she came here, to Earth, to get her revenge on those who spited her and her brethern; the demons and the angels. That's why you died.. you spat on their children. It doesn't matter to me, I love you still.. it's just the way she killed you that gets me every time.
She tied you down.. and taking a large, thick bone needle, began to pierce your skin so deep it tore the muscle. All over your body, large holes, pouring blood and almost drowning you in it. She the flipped you over, and taking one, long, sharp nail, cut the flesh off of your back slowly, making you suffer and scream. I cried, I remember it. I begged her to stop, but she wouldn't listen. You'd hurt her kin. After she was down with that, she boiled down the skin and all the excess muscle came off. She sewed the pieces together and made a bag out of your skin..
She put me into it. She smiled gently at me and apologized, wished me luck and had a demon carry me home in that bag. What else did they do to you, I wonder? Over half the town is gone, but that's okay, I guess. She visited me the other night and cried on my shoulder, saying sorry over and over. We knew it'd never be okay, but I forgave her. Will you forgive me? She's not a bad person. She's just.. lost. I hope you don't think of me as one of them, because I love you, even to this day. As I set my pen down and stare out at the night sky, I cried and finally realized that.. you were gone. But that's okay, I guess. I kind of like the silence..
I pulled my white-blonde hair back and smiled wryly. I had only three friends.. The memory of you, this book.. and the murderer, the Dark Angel.. Haruno Sakura.
