A/N: This was just something I wrote to pass my writer's block on I'll Never Let Go. Enjoy!
Rose Tyler wandered into her History class, bored already. Period 5 on Friday afternoon listening to crusty old Green drone on about things long dead was hardly something she fancied doing.
"Today we will be reviewing the Romantic Period, or you may be more familiar with it as the 19th century," Mr Green said chuckling to himself. "Please turn to page 193 of your text books. Today, I've decided to treat you to the supernatural and unknown happenings of this era."
This stirred up excitement and there were whispers amongst the class. Rose's head perked up and she quickly navigated her way to the corresponding page. And sure enough, there it was in bold letters at the top of the page: The Unknown in History: Fact of Fiction?
There was a brief timeline going down the page, briefly outlining what would be happening in the chapter.
1869: Cardiff, Charles Dickens, a Servant girl, the Doctor and Rose Tyler fight off gas ghosts.
Rose stopped and read the sentence several times over, trying to make it sink in. Her name was in a history book. How was it possible? It had to be a coincidence. Didn't it?
She forced herself to read on. 1879: Scotland, Queen Victoria, Sir Robert and his wife Lady Isobel, the Doctor and Rose Tyler fight off what has been recorded as a werewolf. Torchwood is formed.
There they were again. The same names. The same order. Supernatural stuff, it couldn't be real. This Rose Tyler just had the same name. No more similarities. However, her eyes trailed to a fine printed paragraph, Although these events were confirmed by household staff at the time, the major people involved have denied any involvement. However, it was recorded that The Doctor and his friend Rose Tyler were knighted Sir Doctor of Tardis, and Dame Rose Tyler of the Powell Estate by Queen Victoria. Reason for it has not been confirmed by anyone.
This information rattled rose. Dame Rose of the Powell Estate it had read. This Rose Tyler was from the Powell Estate. She lived on the Powell Estates. It was too much of a coincidence for it not to be real. But how? Was it all some sick joke? She didn't know, and she didn't think she ever would.
Soon, all eyes were on her, and Rose knew they had all read the paragraph. She simply shrugged, laughed nervously and said,
" I'll let you know when it happens."
So, I hope you enjoyed that. I liked writing it, even though it is a drabble. Please review.
