Ballad of Anzu

A short attempt at a custom Arakkoa song I made during a bit of spare time. Tried to keep it to a similar rhythm and 'choice of words' as was found in Rukhmar's Lullaby, as that's the only other Arakkoa song out there so far. Describes a shortened summary of the ancient legend with Sethe, Rukhmar, and Anzu - corruption, day, and night.

Through the heart of Darkness

Salvation is the birthright of ours

Night and day stand together

As the corrupt wing falls

But, ah

Night is shattered

By the arrow of the corrupt

And day flies away

Death rises and fear overwhelms

As two separates to one

And the shattered one stands alone

Forgotten in the darkness

But, ah

Shattered curses grow

Weaving together to form destiny

Alone we stand together

Forging life from day's lone ashes

As the day's curse envelops all
