The science building was right next to the bistro that was extremely popular with the college students. In the new semester, the chemistry club had a new recruitment that, unfortunately, causes fires three times a month. Every time the fire department would show up without fail. Occasionally when there wouldn't be another emergency right after the firefighters would go to the bistro to relax and eat lunch.
A raven-haired chef notices the tall, olive haired firefighter would only eat an apple he would bring from the truck. Whenever the chef was on break he observed the group of firefighters seeing them trying to offer some of their lunch to the tall olive haired, but he would always politely decline their offer.
A month later the raven-haired chef was taking out the trash when he also saw the olive haired firefighter throwing away the apple core from his own lunch. He called out to the firefighter telling him to go to the side alley of the bistro when his shift was over. As promised the firefighter came back and greeted the chef with a warm smile.
Embarrassed, the chef handed him a bento box. The raven-haired cut off the olive haired before he had a chance to protest saying the food just ends up in the trash.
The firefighter was speechless only able to ask why. The chef explained how he notice the firefighter and was worried he wasn't properly and immediately came up with the proposition when the firefighter was done with his shift he would come here where the raven-haired chef would be waiting for him with his lunch or dinner.
The olive haired was in such awe that he immediately hugged the chef repeating the words thank you.
The chef had a small smile plastered on his face reassuring him it was fine.
The firefighter chuckled lightly, "I'm Makoto."
"Haruka."
