"Hedgehogs can't swim!" you may say,
Well today for you would be then a bad day.
Legend tells of a hedgehog, born on South Island, known as the blue blur,
He was bold, brave, and covered in fur.
His name is Sonic the Hedgehog, the island's hero,
With his friends he fights his foes.
However, one day, something terrible happened,
Which made Sonic truly frightened.
He tried to save his beloved, and she fell into an ocean, Sonic's worst nightmare,
Nobody there would have considered it to be in any way fair.
So he jumped into the ocean and opened his eyes,
He saw many dangerous things, like sharp knives.
Then something caught his eye, a pink hedgehog falling down to the ocean bed,
Any other hero would've fled!
But not Sonic, no, Sonic growled confidently and swam down,
He ACTUALLY SWAM! And saw it did the whole town.
He reached out for his love, she reached back, but she fell unconscious, he didn't know what to do,
Meanwhile, his best friend saw this from a bi-plane and down he flew.
He looked into the water and saw Sonic, swimming closer now,
All he could shout was, "WOW!"
So Sonic swam with all his might, never giving up, and finally, he saved his girlfriend,
Then he turned back, denying the fact that this may be their end.
Suddenly, a hand reached out the water, Sonic didn't know again what to do,
But he grabbed the hand in desperation, and out of the water he flew.
Panting exhaustedly, he looked over at his beloved, "Amy?" he whispered. to her.
"S-Sonic?" she groaned, opening her eyes. Sonic smiled as she nuzzled his soft fur.
"It's okay Ames, you're safe now," he smiled. Amy giggled,
"I know Sonic, I know because I can finally do this!" Amy said, and Sonic got tickled.
