I was dabbling and I came up with this idea, it was made at 9 p.m. so don't expect much from it. :)
Disclaimer- I do not own Doctor Who or any of its characters so please don't sue me.
Dear Doctor,
If you are reading this than you just dropped me off at Pete's world for the last time. You're wondering how you got this well here's the answer.
Its 2075 when I'm writing this, in Pete's world at least. About ten years ago Torchwood started building a new vortex manipulator and I got my hands on it. I went back to when I was still stuck in Pete's World the first time and gave the younger me this letter (don't worry I was very careful to not cause a paradox). I said she would find you soon and when she did to slip this letter in your pocket but not to read a word of it. I left quickly because knowing me she would ask who I was and I didn't what to get into that. I hope she was able to give this letter to you as I did those many years ago.
I'm going to be honest, I was furious at you for leaving me in Pete's world. I refused to believe that the meta-crisis was you for such a long time, so much wasted time. Then one day I went over to John's flat (that what we called him) for tea and I realized he was you. He yelled Allons-y wherever we went and couldn't cook to save his life and he was so brilliantly you, so I gave him a chance.
It was hard at first but we adjusted. Three years later we got married, ten more we had three daughters Jane, Maria, and Erica. There all grown up now working at Torchwood. It was perfect until one day John came home from work and just collapsed. We took him to the hospital than Torchwood, he died two hours later. Apparently even when you left you still had a small bond with John and when something really bad happens to you it affects him also. I assume you regenerated and that's why he collapsed.
When the girls were younger I would tell them about you. How a man with a brilliant blue box took me away to the stars. I told them about everything I saw love, sadness, life, death, joy, sacrifice. How the box he took me away in was the most magical thing you would ever see and it had infinite rooms with a world behind each door. To them it was just a bedtime story but I think inside they always knew it was much more than that.
I want you to know I forgive you for leaving me here Doctor, I forgive you for not saying what you wanted to say at Bad Wolf Bay, and I forgive for not being able to save me when I almost fell into the void. I know you feel like you have a burden on your shoulders for everything you've ever done and my forgiveness does nothing to lift that burden even the smallest bit, but either way I forgive you. You are amazing and Doctor don't you ever forget that.
My great Aunt Clara was a writer and she once wrote, "Run, run you clever boy and remember," and that's exactly what I want you to do Doctor. Run into the stars and don't stop.
With love,
Rose Marion Smith
P.S.
You still owe me a quid for those chips.
The Doctor finished reading the letter and wiped his eyes. He was looking for his fez in the wardrobe room when he found the letter on the floor. Amy stepped in the room and he shoved the letter into his pocket. She looked at him for a moment, confused, but shrugged it off as nothing. "Doctor are you ready to go to that planet you were going on about yesterday?"
He smiled and hopped up the stairs towards Amy. "Actually Pond I was thinking it's about time you and Rory go on your honeymoon. What do you think about a planet ship cruise?"
