OK, people, this is another fairytale spoof, this time on Sleeping Beauty. Read and review! Thanx

How to get a good night's sleep

The girl ascended the spiral staircase slowly, the feeling of curiosity growing with each step. At last she reached the very top. There was a door there, and it was shut. The girl became very excited and pushed the door open. At last she would find out what was hidden up here. The entryway was dark. As she grew accustomed to the darkness, she could make out...

"More stairs!" she muttered, and began to climb. There were only a few steps to go until she found herself in a large, round room. In the centre sat an old woman working at a strange contraption. The girl pulled a face.

"Aren't those things kinda obsolete? She asked. "We haven't had those since the Industrial Revolution!"

The old woman looked up, but not before glancing towards the hidden camera and rubbing her hands together with evil glee.

"Come in, come in, my dear," she invited, her voice croaking.

The girl rolled her eyes. "Puh-leez! Isn't that sooo stereotypical? Just lose the voice, will you?

The old woman shook her head. "Teenagers today," she muttered. Then she raised her voice. "How would you like a go on my spinning wheel?"

"Whatever," the girl replied, and went and sat down. "What is all this stuff anyway?" she picked up the spindle and started to mess around.

"Careful with that!" the old woman cried, but it was too late. The girl had already pricked her finger on the sharp end. She looked down at her finger in dismay.

"Oh bother!" she muttered. "You got a plaster?"

"They're in the first aid box by the window," the old woman replied, disappointed. Maybe next time she would try sleeping pills...

A/N: in England, we call band-aids plasters. just in case there was some confusion.
