Squirrelflight and her sister were walking along the path when they noticed a poster. It read:
The warrior king!
Featuring Brambleclaw as Simba.
Auditions today!
"You should go Squirrelflight, your great at acting. And you can fall in love with Brambleclaw." She added with a cheeky grin. Squirrelflight swiped her with a paw. "Of course I'll go! I might make it famous." I'll come with you to watch. They should let me in to watch the filming.
When they got there they saw Feathertail auditioning for Nala, the part Squirrelflight wanted. The sisters sat down near the others waiting for their audition. They were using the scene with the song 'I just can't wait to be king.' Brambleclaw was great at his part. Whitestorm was the only one who was auditioning for Zazu so he was performing too. Feathertail was really trying really hard but she couldn't get her voice very loud.
"OH I JUST CAN'T WAIT TO BE KING!" Brambleclaw yowled.
"No one saying do this." Brambleclaw called.
"No one saying be there." Feathertail whispered.
"No one saying stop that!" Feathertail paused. The awkward silence dragged while Feathertail tried to remember the line.
"NO ONE SAYING SEE HERE!" Squirrelflight yowled and Leafpool looked around in embarrassment. Bluestar, Lionheart and Crookedstar, the judges turned around to look at her. Bluestar sighed.
"I guess your auditioning for Nala." It wasn't a question. Half the girls waiting stood up and left with a sigh and mutterings and several. "Who put the posters were she could see them." Squirrelflight's skill at acting was well known. Brambleclaw rolled his eyes but was beeming wildly. Sandstorm, who was auditioning for Sarabi smiled.
"I'm glad we'll be acting together." Squirrelflight smiled broadly. "I am too."
Leafpool rolled her eyes and turned to leave, she didn't want to see her sister show off again, when a dark grey tom blocked her path.
"You should challenge your mother, we can be King and Queen then." Crowfeather looked down at her. She smiled fondly.
"Sorry, I'm not a good actress."
"Come on!"
"No. But tell me how you go." With that she left.
